Old Style pub with plenty of character. Meals are a little on the expensive side (Parma $28). They have a room you can hire out for something and also have rooms for residents.

Such an odd place, it has so much going for it: good location, lovely building, decent food etc but somehow it just misses the mark. Manages to downgrade everything into a semi seedy pub. Needs an overhaul or at the very least someone who knows what they're doing to revamp the vibe

Always happy to come in for some steak and chips. Missed this place during lockdowns but now that it's all opening up again and coming back to life, it's a staple of the community social offering. Very happy with the service, very happy with the beers, very happy to be back.

The meals are great and the outdoor area is massive. The staff are happy to put on whichever game you want to watch which is always appreciated.

Nice renovation, friendly staff but the food was shocking. The ($68) steak dinner for 2 was shameful, I've seen thicker bacon and served with half a tennis ball of average at best mashed potato. 2 cats maybe, won't be back.

Had an excellent pub meal at the end of the day - steak and two pints for a very reasonable sum. I left feeling full and satisfied, and that's what matters. Service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, and there was a good selection of food on the menu. Didn't hurt that the footy was on either.

Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Great old pub. Recent interior updates look great. The staff and knowledgeable and friendly. Food is always tasty and well priced. And good range of beers on tap.

Booked in last minute for lunch and they were happy to accommodate us. Warmly greeted on arrival and guided through to our table. Lots of different and rooms spaces available for eating, drinking and TAB. The wine list is small and could use some tweaking but the wine available is very affordable. Meals were all delicious and generously portioned. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout our meal and the rooms and furnishings are much more luxurious than the exterior would have you think.

The BEST steak in all of Melbourne. Cleanly beats even the $110 Rockpool Sirlion. It is amazing and miles underpriced.

I’m the pickiest guy ever. Do yourself a favour and come here.

Hear me out, the food was okay but the stay was barely okay for one night, i stayed there for years and there were cockroaches EVERYWHERE when i lived there the pub places were alright but the upstairs was a definite no go.not to mention the toilets and showers were DISGUSTING not to mention there’s a blood stain on the floor STILL there. I still have photos and videos of this awful hotel. Last time i was there was a few years back maybe things has changed but i’ll never forget staying there.

Just.greasy. Felt sick afterwards, and we left 75% of our meal. Oil seeped out of the batter for the fish and the chips, like they’d been plonked straight on the plate from the fryer, without being drained.

Renovated and superbly refurbished to accommodate the demands of the public. Great food and nice choice of food.

It's just not how I remember. The grandveiw I remember was a statement that this was a piece of history. This felt like a regular pub. Kinda sad really. Hopefully with time the local government can help to bring it back to its glory days

Great place to have a few beverages with the fellas and gals. Enjoyed my time immensely and highly recommend it to others.

Went to a wedding here last night and the function room is a great size and very nicely appointed with its own balcony and bar. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the food was great! Couldn’t recommend this place enough for a function.

Got a takeaway meal from here and it was given to us in polystyrene packaging. Given all the environmentally friendly or recyclable packaging available I was gobsmacked and saddened. Food was OK but won’t go back unless I hear they’ve changed their packaging.

The Establishment was of high quality but since new staff were introduced; Late 2019, Said quality plummeted. Hopefully it gets better.

Great atmosphere, great food, great beers on tap. Wednesday night is a comedy night with the best.
