The Glen reviews
60Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and great service, owner was a real gentleman. Food is absolutely delicious.
Massive shopping centre.
Great range of stores.
Very clean.
Plenty of parking.
Just wish they had more directory boards around the place.
Has had an amazing face lift that gives it great curb appeal however the car park I don't know, for lack of a better description made me feel a bit clostrophobic, with its underground cave feel with low ceiling.
Inside although beautiful, had to do a lot of walking as Layout is confusing and too spread out. Couldn't find a play area for the little ones. Asked a cleaner who had a vest on that said something along the lines of "ask me for help" and he shrugged his shoulders. Either he couldn't speak English or had no idea what a children's play area is. Useless. Won't be back unless we have to. I can't see a reason to return to this shopping centre.
Upon exiting I did see a male security guard going ballistic at some woman who had left her kids in the car to do shopping. Good on him. Hope it knocked some sense in her.
Unbelievable!
Went there yesterday for the first time since it was rebuilt.very impressed.
Chadstone, watch out, some competition.will go back and back. Great for the locals and others
Nice refurbished shopping centre which is clean and offers a fair variety of shops selling various items. Food court is good and offers a great range of Eastern and Western food. Pity there's no McDonalds, KFC or Subway available for the kids at times. Carparks could have been designed better. Other than that, not a bad shopping centre at all and definitely recommended.
Large mall with everything you need. Very good market section and supermarkets seem to have better fruits and vegetables. The new food court is nice and clean too. Only thing is parking can be a pain.
They have various restaurants there, you have plenty of choices if you have chinese stomach.but don't go to the TINA's 天府李米线,horrible customer service, you have to queue for a long time and go to the counter and pay, literally you pay for the food and you do everything by yourself.
Nice new-ish mall. Great selection of stores. Caters for a broad range of needs. I wish there were more barber shops.
Haven't been to The Glen for a while, so this was a revelation. So much new floor space. So many spacious shops (aisles much wider than for the same chain in different centres). Will have to spend more time there.
Love the new part of the Glen. Amazing upstairs food court with beautiful views of the Dandenong Ranges. We had a gorgeous Thai meal there.
Decent stores, very nice alfresco area. I mean it's good.very good but not worth travelling out of your way for
Not a bad place to shop and eat, as you are doing these activities in more focused area. Not a good place to work, requested management to do something to prevent people smoking in no smoking zone, no OHS policies. People smoke different kind of thing, unfortunately I work near the area these people love to smoke. No body bothered. I just want to request management and OHS victoria to allow these people to smoke in there respective work place.
Very bad because of the mobile phone signal.no any signal in the new area.this is crazy, the mobile phone can not use.only shows SOS ONLY. God……
Great place to visit lots of shops everything you need in this place food shopping and sports and clothes shopping.
My place massage is a lovely place to be, feels luxurious the staff are very sweet and very professional, the massage and spa services are great and at the right price, Chris approves!
Beautiful shopping centre that has not catered for small Buses to park at the new Centre.
Poor planning not to have any area for Small buses over 2.4 m for elderly people. Will effect their business long term.
The new refurbished 'Glen' shopping mall is superior to previous old Glen with all types of shops and multinational brands. Good place to shop around and the food court on top floor is marvelous with multiple options.
Not The Glen of the old days, it used to be a place you looked forward to visiting, but now, the new David Jones is a let down, they had more product two months ago, the other stores are just like you find in any other shopping centre, really thought it would be a smaller version of Chadstone, wrong, cant say we will be going there in the near future, we would rather drive 60 kilometres to Doncaster then go to the Glen, we were very disappointed, also now not enough toilets, there is so many people that you cant move, mostly rude and obnoxious people, bring back The Glen from 5 years ago, I think a lot of people think this.
Very nice bathrooms, nice view from the seating area in the food court, lots of parking space, and obviously an extensive range of shops. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the inconvenient layout. Sometimes to get to a shop that is directly beneath you, it requires you to pretty much walk an entire lap of the massive shopping centre.
From friendly, pleasant looking, stressless community shopping centre full of all you could need to an ugly, imposing, hard-edged structure with tiered car park that’s not inviting but rather daunting. No open spaces outside nor easy access by foot and full of crowds inside. That’s progress! Great if you’re a fan of soulless shopping malls.
