The General Lake Tyers Beach

Staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee was really good and the food was amazing. Vegan options are available. The cafe itself has a great atmosphere and felt fresh and bright. We will definitely be back again soon!

I waited at the counter for several minutes to be served while three men on duty busied themselves in the kitchen not serving customers.
When I had the gaul to call out “hello”, one of them grumpily came and and said, “yeah gives us a minute”, to which I said “well I gave you a few”. He then started rambling further remonstrations for my terrible request for service, at which point I walked out thinking there’s no way I’m giving this business my money when their service is terrible and the staff get angry at you for asking for any!

Great local store and cafe in Lake Tyers.
Steve and his staff are a delight to meet and the food is scrumptious.
Jon the barista makes a beautiful smooth coffee from the Inglewood blend.
Fish and chips followed by hotcakes. Shared between the two of us. More than enough for a light lunch.
It was great to hear about the expansion plans and we look forward to coming back often to enjoy great food and local produce in a wonderful setting.

Disappointed as map says opening hours are 7 am whereas weekend opening hours at site are 8 am!

We were welcomed by the friendly owners and staff. Beautiful freshly renovated bright and airy dining space.
My lunch was chicken caesar salad made with local smoked chicken and rashes of delicious bacon. So tasty. All the other meals being served also looked lovely. They also sell freshly made cakes and locally made slices as well as other local products.

How good is it to be able to walk to your local shop and get a great coffee. Would like to see some gluten free options if you are able.

Amazing fish and chips. Souvlaki is out of this world. Customer service is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend as a stop in for lunch! Delicious!

Brilliant small town general store that punches well above its weight with magnificent burgers (try the Lake Tyers Beach burger) plus fish and chips. The chips are superb. Does excellent coffee a great selection of fudge for dessert and has all the necessities of a general store with a great fishing tackle and bait section plus a bit of local advice. Really reasonably priced with quick, personal service and lovely friendly owners

Cheeky old mole charged me double for very low quality food. Stay clear of these thives.
Don't recommend at all. Low life scum.

Was there to get some bait and advice. A great disappointment.and being the only store in Lake Tyers. Learned the lesson. Next time I will buy my bait before I get to lake tyers

Charming old fashioned venue and service at outstandingly good prices for a holiday locality. Lots of home made stuff, which sells out fast. Eat in, take it away, or take a food pack back to your holiday home. This place caters for all needs. Proprietor exceptionally helpful and has vast local knowledge. Worth visiting just for the quality of the coffee!

Great food great service friendly staff. Home made treats Best fish and chips in the area. Give them a go you won’t be disappointed.

Standard general store but with above average take take away and home cooked meals and cakes.
