The French Pear Cafe reviews
45 Sunday (All day breakfast)
Not packed at the time we went but busy enough with a lot of take away traffic
Absolutely delicious
Eggs Benny - Presentation alone made you want to eat it. Fresh produce
Croque Madame - Melt in your mouth
Delightfully full when finished
Definitely returning
Just in Drouin for a quick visit. And visited the French Pear for brunch. The food was amazing. Well visit again when ever we pass through in the future
Very disappointed. As a regular, but no more, the staff are getting worse and worse. Last week they gave my order to someone else. This week I ordered the same again for lunch and was told it's only available till 11am? Tried to be a loyal customer. An, it's just to hard to deal with customers attitude doesn't work for our group.
Yet to sample their fare, but looked to have a lovely range of sandwiches, pastries, etc plus coffee.
During this time we love supporting our local businesses but whoever owns or works at this place need to learn proper and good customer service! Yes we are in a pandemic but you still need to know how to talk nicely to your customers and not be rude! We are locals and they treated us like this so you can't help but think how they treat tourist! If I can give this place zero I would have!
Go here once a week for coffee we usually have a bite to eat while there the staff are friendly and the shop is very clean
The coffee was not made fresh, it was very burned and the wait time was excessive. Worst coffee I've ever had!
Avo toast $18
Eggs Benny $18
Pepsi max $4.50
Unorganised and the staff were all but smiles. Hope they sleep well knowing that they are a rip off.
The cafe latte wasn't that nice either and I lost my appetite
My daughter and I made a Monday morning tea stop at the French Pear Cafe and are SO glad we did. The decor, ambience, service, cleanliness and bathrooms were a top-notch. Lovely dirty chais and cakes, and the ladies behind the counter were delightful.
Competitive price although wouldn't pay again. Decaf mocha was nice. Ham cheese crossaint nice. Bacon and eggs rubbery and old. Milkshake sugary milk. Service was average. Creepy music.
Had a lovely french toastie with garlic mushrooms and mustard.amazing! Nice atmosphere for brunch:)
Super expensive! Regular soy latte (2shots) are $6.20.that’s crazy! They weren’t too friendly either. I guess not a, we love tourists, place - more something where locals feel welcomed.
Had lunch here and was pleasantly surprised. Prices were a bit more than the average lunch menu, but when the food was brought out we could see why. Very good presentation, taste, amount on plate. Good value. We will be coming back here again.
Good food and drinks and service by staff includes food for people who are gluten intollerant peter
Staff were friendly and kept my bag safe after I accidentally left it there. Collected it the next day. Very thankful
Location - On the main street among other shops
Parking - Ample
Ambience: Depends upon the day and time but French Pear is spacious. Overall ambience is nice and you do feel sitting in a French cafe
Service: Staff was polite and decent. Our breakfast and coffee order came pretty quick
Food: We ordered Pocahed eggs and avocado on muffin, and two flat white coffees. Poched eggs came on toast though but they were delicious with holandi sauce. Coffees was also good.
I recommend this place.
Worst service ever! 21/10/2020
Walked out without buying anything
Drouin was the loser left town and shopped in warragul instead
Got our orders wrong. Asked for an almond iced latte and got lactose free milk.
Then when they went to make the almond iced latte for my Friend apparently the milk kept splitting so had to have soy.
$6 something for an iced latte, no idea why so expensive -the same amount of milk &less work than a normal latte. & $6 for a slice of banana bread.
Definitely won't be going back.
French Pear delivered some cakes for my brothers birthday, we were unable to see him due to restrictions. They were friendly responded quickly and delivered same day, they even decorated the box. Thank you again!
