The Food Republic Cafe

Lovely service. I ordered the seafood feteccini which was made in the more traditional manner of not having much of a sauce to allow for the seafood to hero the dish.

Have driven past it few times and its always full. So tried it for lunch and coffee today. Food, coffee and service were pretty spot on. Tried calamari salad, the calamari was fresh and a piccolo take away didn't disappoint either

The service is not good, the waiter in this store has a bad attitude, They make me feel discriminatory against the Chinese people

The staff are very accommodating, the menu has a great range and there’s lots of space depending on your situation (prams, dogs, bigger groups, etc).
Really enjoyed our brunch with lots of choice and the food was great. Fast service and good coffee & we didn’t ever feel rushed.
We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

This is my go to cafe to catch up with friends during the covid times. Spacious with nice outdoor seating and good coffee. Have been trying the food one by one. Don't have a favourite one yet. But it's good food. Pets allowed and got enough parking behind the building. Will keep going here.

The menu is quite extensive and the food is delicious. Nice coffee too. The staff are friendly and attentive. Nice, clean place, with tables well spaced. I have been there a few times now and will keep going back.

What a lovely spot. Great outdoor area. Wasn't sure what to expect. Quick service got me a BLAT and a double espresso. Oh and a chocolate chip cookie for takeaway. Super quick coffee service while I waited for my sandwich, and they brought out the cookie in case I wanted something to nibble on while I waited. Pretty happy. The blat was super good. Thanks.

Ordered the buddha bowl which Ive had tens of times in the past at different places, but it was absolutely horrible in taste. It tasted like I was eating mush. The flavours were lacking.the Salmon on brioche, that my company had was decent but the presentation looked like a child had decorated school project. Quite unfortunate. Service was good so the rating is for the service.

Convenient parking, large venue with nice inside and outside seating. Able to do a good job with a large group booking and had ample staff. Food was nice. Looked very crowded, not sure it is covid compliant spacing or practice.

Excellent food. Only the waiters should be checking on clients if they need anything. They are not looking to the clients while walking around.

Amazing food and even better customer service! Management and staff are absolutely committed to making your dining experience perfect. We had breakfast. One thing was not perfect and the Manager immediately offered to swap it for something else.

I had only been visiting these guys about 2 months ago as we were travelling from Phillip Island to Blackburn to work, we were in need of a good coffee then I found them and we were hooked. The first time I walked through the door I was greeted with friendly service and a smile from all even through these hard times. Would have loved to sat down for a meal but when all this is over I will definitely be making a trip with the family. Cheers guys for your friendly hospitality, keep kicking goals. And see ya when all this is over.

Was driving down Blackburn Road and spotted the cafe - did a U turn as it looked busy and this is always a good sign for good food. We were not disappointed - breakfast was wonderful on Sunday morning with lots of other happy customers all smiling and enjoying their food. We live at Mornington so was out of area and thoroughly enjoyed our visit and still talking about it two days later.

My 'sharp' flat white was delicious this morning. Double shot and not too milky. I joined a local office team that goes out of their way to walk an extra 5+ minutes every morning for their morning fix and it was worth it. Friendly staff.

Have coffee regularly here, and sit outside with friends, as they have dogs. The coffee is good, service is s bit slow on weekends, as not enough staff, and one waitress who served? Us last Saturday was quite rude. Would not want to sit at their timber picnic style table with bench seats again. Very uncomfortable, and difficult to climb over bench seats.

Didnt expect i will be blown away by caesar salad and egg. However with all the attention to details it does warrant 5/5 star. The bread is thick and crusty, paired with a generous sliced cheese and perfectly poached egg. The service is prompt and courteous. Will definitely come again. No wonders the place is always packed
