The Espressonist reviews
30Amazing place. The interior is very inspiring and speciality coffee outstanding. I also had a yummy and generous almond croissant. Friendly stuff and upbeat music completed the experience. I stopped by for coffee but ended up staying for a quick session of creative work. Very pleased with the experience and definitely will be back!
This quiet, relaxed cafe is perfectly located by the water and on a sunny day, it would be a great place to brunch. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. The day we visited, it was a very windy day and sitting outdoors wasn't a good idea but we will visit again on a better day.
Today, we were there for breakfast, and the scrambled eggs and pumpkin soup were truly delicious. Besides, their coffee was amazing. In addition to the delicious food, the view was incredible. I highly recommend there to everyone.
Great place for brunch
Looking out over the marina was very relaxing.
Staff were efficient and friendly
Food was fresh and delicious
Breakfast with a view. Whether seated inside or out, you can’t go wrong at The Espressonist in Docklands. We loved both the food and the setting.
We ordered the Smashed avocado and Breakfast salad bowl along with a latte and a Ruby grapefruit cold pressed juice to drink.
Everything we ordered was beautifully plated, I loved all the vibrant colours. The breakfast salad was lovely, everything in the bowl worked together beautifully. It’s a great option if you feel like something healthy. The smashed avocado was nicely complemented with a charred corn salad. It was fresh and full of flavour. The Ruby grapefruit cold pressed juice was nice and refreshing with a hint of tartness.
A place where you can enjoy delicious coffee in a great location on a sunny day. The area is opposite the Crown, so it's quiet.
Beautiful location, Went there for lunch. Their veggie burger was good with soya patty and chips.
If you're a coffee aficionado or a food enthusiast looking for an outstanding breakfast experience, The Espressonist is an absolute must-visit. I can't recommend it highly enough. Prepare yourself for a truly remarkable and unforgettable morning delight!
I had a really great experience, the staff were so helpful the food was delicious and the owner even checked to see that we were enjoying our food.
I had the soft shell crab taco with a delicious fish sauce, it’s my new favourite.
I was a little skeptical after a previous review, I’m so glad I tried it. 100% recommend crab taco.
I will be coming back for more
Great service and Sunday brunch session cafe near the water. Branched out and tried the chilli scramble and just whoa. Home made sambal was the clincher mixed with goats cheese divine.
Smashed avo is fresh with tomatoes, corn, goats cheese and added on the side bacon and egg.
Solid coffee. Crowd fav each weekend.
We had a very nice lunch there. The chorizo Benedict is amazing!
Nice friendly staff, delicious food, great location. What more could you want….
Good, smooth coffee. Friendly service and awesome outlook over the river. Perfect place for a break on a warm day.
Simple spacious nice place served with friendly and helpful Jenet. Coffee is not that good though. Had a few issues with my friend was fixed right away. Thank you.
I recently have experienced such good customer service from here whereby I was given food ordered previously free of charge as a result of my previous review and this place went above and beyond my expectation in making a customer satisfied. Definitely will be back.
Service is A+. Food-wise, hit and miss. I've had great food and I've had badly burnt seafood. The decor and vibe is very nice. Overall considering the price point it's ok. Not terrible, but not amazing either.
The Expressionist had quietly evolved into a cool destination in an area that desperately needs it. Huge brunch options and great coffee
My friend and I visited ‘The Expressionist’ today, though were very unsatisfied with our experience. We had ordered the French toast and a chicken burger and they both tasted off. After we had left, my friend began to feel sick and threw up shortly after eating here. I did not expect such a terrible experience at this place, I would not recommend this restaurant.
The wagyu beef burger was great, chips were crispy and the scrambled eggs were smooth. Didn't taste the chicken burger so I can't comment. The soft shell crab taco was the worse ever. Before I even bite into it, a flow of liquid came out of one of the tacos (not sure what it was but it felt like it's soggy and gross), the other was fine, even tho I did not want that one anymore.
One of the waitress with short hair and a suit leading us to the table looked a bit unfriendly when we wanted to change tables saying "it's all the same! " But the other waiters and waitresses were superb.
Food is very good, but coffee isn't what it once was. Large coffee is basically a small. Some staff need an attitude adjustment. In saying that, it's in a lovely location with a beautiful view.
What a great way to spend an evening. We attended a special event where the the theme of Art in Food was a continuation of a short series of events. This evening was Australia food "Meat and Three veg". I must say that we and all the other guests were amazed by the flavours and the matching wines for each course.
Victoria and Damien are sensational hosts as were the staff. I can't wait for the next event which focus's on Champagnes.
