The Eastern Golf Club

Amazing facilities, course was incredible despite recent weather and staff were friendly and welcoming.

Not only is the Eastern Golf Club situated in a spectacular setting, all staff from the Admin team, the Pro Shop and the Catering staff are so friendly, always professional and provide excellent service and the food is top notch. My dear father was a member of the club for almost 50 years and he always found the staff to be like family. Well worth the visit to eat, play and stay.

Laughably bad, Fawlty Towers level experience of poor service and total lack of concern from staff and management. We booked the dining room for a 100th birthday. Upon arrival we were told that we would be sitting in a bar area, and that the only menu available would be a snack menu. If we had been told this, of course we would not have booked for such a special occasion. After having to request a menu (when we realised none would be given to us) and being handed one single menu for a party of 8, and having to retrieve our own from other tables, we ordered, and one of the three main dishes was unavailable. However we ordered and after a while the food started being slowly delivered to the table. After half an hour, during which time most of us had finished, two dishes still had not come - including the lunch of the lady turning 100. The other non-arrival was a sandwich which we had already been told was pre-prepared, not made fresh, so really no reason it should not have turned up. After asking twice, eventually the two dishes were delivered (along with an attempt at re-delivering two burgers that had long been eaten). The final dish - the birthday lady's lunch - was plopped on to the table with no apology whatsoever. We didn't bother with the birthday cake we had brought along so took it and left. On the way out, we spoke to the manager, who very far from being apologetic, told us the booking was our mistake, we should not have been allowed to book a table anyway, as we were not members (our fault we were allowed to book, apparently? !), who said that when you do two orders you should expect food to arrive separately - perhaps true but not half an hour apart, and actually the two late dishes were one from each order, so truly a terrible excuse. Then she asked sarcastically 'if the birthday girl had a lovely time anyway'. Again, no accountability, no apology. Just awfully, laughably bad service from a shower of people who do not belong in hospitality. Such a shame that a literally once in a lifetime occasion was marred - obviously we still celebrated and we will visit another restaurant to celebrate properly, but still gobsmacked that it all happened.

Amazing course. Best club house with a good restaurant that serves great food with affordable prices.

What amazing customer service from Scott the manager with assisting me through purchasing a MGI buggy A. T as a gift. After calling every club in Melbourne and comparing all costs, the eastern golf club beat all prices around & scott going out of his way to personally deliver was just 110%.
Make sure to give them a call if ever in need of any equipment as they are by far the most reasonable and fairly priced club around. Thank you Scott!

We always love coming here for a casual, relaxed bite to eat with friends. Staff are friendly and love a chat and a laugh and don't hassle you if you happen to hang around for hours gasbagging!

Beautiful place, excellent option of wine in the restaurant but the food was a little disappointing. The entrées were spot on but the main lacked flavor

Fantastic service provided by club pro Scott Barradell. Purchased a driver in great condition at an unbelievable price, and promptly delivered. Highly recommended if you're after great equipment at great prices. Thanks again and look forward to coming to the course when we can play again.

Wedding: We had 1 of our Indian Wedding Functions here. They were very particular about what they could accommodate and couldn't. We only wished we could have done all our wedding functions here but they could only accommodate 150 people haha, and wow, my did they accommodate them well! The other functions had requirements of 300,650 pax so we had to look elsewhere. But we loved this venue so much that we has to have 1 functionhere and it was beautiful. The sunset, the scenery, the decor, the wildlife was excellent. Perfect Picture Perfect. Not too far from the city (especially the north - north east). Staff were average-good, but the kicker was that manager allocated to us on the day was exceptional. The events team was helpful but strict and inflexible at times - but I guess that was to provide a standard of experience that they are committed to delivering. Overall, very pleased and grateful that we got to experience part of our wedding here. Thanks guys, really appreciate you making our memories - memorable.

Played on a really hot day last week, flies were really bad! Nice layout of holes, will be better in 6 months once the drainage work meshes in.
Great clubhouse with a large varied menu & 8 beers available on tap.

Encountering many wallabies, kangaroos, and parakeets just nearby our accommodation.a very nice place for stay.

This is my second time play there, first round is back on 2017, and i can see the different in few years time (I made note)

1) Grass on fairway way too short compare to Royal Melbourne, Metropolitan and Cranbourne.
2) The bunker wasn't rake properly too many human foot prints (except Kangaroos)
3) Green has too many unrepair ball landing holes (where is green keeper
?)
4) Some holes fringe area has no grass.

Overall a bit disappointing on the course experience, this coarse is only 6 years old and now starting to deteriorate, and i hope green keeper can do a better job. I gave 2 star because the 2nd star was saved by Clubhouse and Food, Good Service and food.

Beautiful spot for recreational activities. Spacious and good facilities. Golf course, walking trail, tennis, table tennis. U will enjoy your time here. Note that there are a bunch of flies around and will definitely spoil your day on golf or if you are outdoor seated.

Premium facilities, comfortable club rooms and very good service. Meals are excellent, competitively priced and excellent range of quality drinks. Easy drive out there. The course itself is well designed, but will be better to play on in a few years when the trees and bushes mature.

Cannot recommend yering gorge cottages enough. The staff were amazing and helpful whenever needed. They helped me organise a the most spectacular proposal through phone and made it a perfect surprise. The cottage were beautiful and the and perfect for a getaway. So peaceful vibe. The restaurant were great to have on site.

Beautiful place, really loved that we could have lunch with members, even although we didn't know anyone, I want to play golf one day

We very much enjoyed playing a round of golf on your beautiful course and look forward to another round in the near future. Your clubhouse is so very comfortable to spend an afternoon watching the footy, having a meal and looking out to the stunning backdrop that is the Yarra Valley!
