Fast, friendly (covid friendly) service, good food and good atmosphere good for a quiet dinner out, good place for couples, families and everyone alike.

Spectacular view from the roof top bar and outdoor tables on the deck. Watch the sun set. Can be a hot over Summer so bring your sun screen:).
Kitchen times for meals are a bit limited over Summer. Crisps are the best you can do between 2.30-5.30pm.: (

The Dava is simply a institution on the Peninsula with a history going been many years. At a recent writers get together there friends reminisced about birthday parties they had there as a child and going to see bands. The food is good pub fare and the deck looking out on the bay is spectacular.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Impressed with staff commitment to keep the place Covid safe. 2 staff keep wiping tables and bar down. Food wise, fresh prawns and oysterd, flavour combination is unique and tasteful. Steak done well as medium, might be one of the best among bistros that I gone to. View from the deck bar is good

Contradictory information about mask wearing, staff not complying (mask not covering nose). Abrupt attitude and uncomfortable dining experience. I know the Covid regulations are out of our control but we expected kind customer service.

Best Sunday afternoon on the rooftop deck at The Dava, made all the more special by the brilliant music provided by The Fentons!
The beautiful singer has a really great voice and it was so good to see her delivering the songs with such enjoyment and passion. The guitarist who accompanied her was also amazing!
Soooo lucky to have these super talented people providing entertainment at a great venue, especially for us locals once the crowds have gone home. We were so disappointed to see that this was their last performance at The Dava.
The rooftop deck is something special, the bar service was excellent.just wish we could make it our “go to” place to bring friends if only The Fentons were ongoing regular entertainment.

What a terrible and dingy place. Not worth of Mornington. Dodgy as hell, bad service and frozen food.

Salt & Pepper Calamari was delicious, worth the price but the garlic chili prawns didn't come with a salad only with a bit of garnish on top which made it over priced & the prawns we're cold.

Great food, family friendly prices, service was a bit slow. Overall the "best 6th birthday a girl ever had"

Deck on 2nd floor with wonderful views over the bay, excellent food at reasonable prices, great atmosphere.

Deck and view are nice. Food is less than ordinary and has been for quite a few years.
$19 for entree size calamari with herb salad = 12 pieces of prepackaged frozen squid and a couple of fennel fronds.
Parma was small tasteless and cold. Not impressed at all. Tried supporting the local pub for years but I'm done. Won't be back until I hear a bunch of good feedback.

While I understand that getting covid ready and opening up with all the restrictions is hard, I found that more information about ordering food & routine would have been good. As if I hadn’t of asked I would have sat down at my table waiting. There were no instructions at all.
The food was what I would say below standard, my steak was way over cooked and the other meals were not worth the money.
And no salt or pepper on the table.

Hopefully we don’t get food poisoning. My Daughter got halfway through her chicken parmigiana and said it tasted funny, I tried it and it was pink/raw in the middle. It’s better to make customers wait a little longer than rush the food and have it undercooked.

Very friendly place for a meal or catch up. Kids love the playground with CCTV coverage. The deck is the place to be if not to windy or cold.

Nice, cosy, old charm hotel, beautiful view from the upper terrace. Friendly service and tasty dishes on the menu. Go for the Calamari or Fish and chips!

Had a delicious (and healthy) meal from the specials board, served fairly quickly. There was an extensive array of meals to choose from on the main menu too.
