The Cullen Melbourne - Art Series

For the price you pay for a penthouse you would expect parking to be included, $30 per day for parking, if you are lucky enough to get a park, as it is constantly full, penthouse should have allocated parking.
No room service, just Chinese take away to the room, zero breakfast menu. Hotel needs an update, wallpaper peeling off the wall. Junior penthouse is really a one bedroom with an extra large balcony. Small bathroom. Mini bar seriously lacking for penthouse standard. Location is great, staff are helpful, but you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

Great hotel with awesome facilities and unbelievable service. We stayed here for 3 days over new years and Patrick took amazing care of us all. Highly him and this hotel!

24/7 reception and great friendly concierge.
The rooms, bathrooms, kitchenette and facilities all very nice. The decor is artistic and different.
Great location for food, cafes, restaurants and bars.

Room was filthy behind the scenes, after asking reception to rectify they missed all the places i complained about, not good service at all and still to get a reply from the general manager. 4 star, i dont think so!
P. S.the staff were very helpful but failed to get my request sorted to clean the room properly so had to stay a further night in a dirty room

Went to this hotel, as it was close to the place I was having surgery. I had a terrible experience with the hotel, and processes. It put me under immense stress when things were already tense.

I have stayed here a few times and can attest to the comfort, cleanliness and courtesy of the staff. There is a beautiful rooftop and clean gym and I love the little kitchenette. Very close to Prahran Markets!

The staff were very helpful until I realised I left my jewellery case in the room. It took them days to check with the house keeping staff and even longer after that to advise they don’t have it. I sent multiple emails and no response, just a single phone call to say they don’t have it. They really weren’t helpful and had a “not my problem” attitude to searching for it. I had very sentimental pieces in there but that wasn’t enough for them to investigate further. Really disappointing and would expect more from this hotel.

Location was perfect as we had a function around the corner, it is walking distance to the train station if needed. Room had everything we needed, and we thought it was very reasonable. You do have to pay additional $30, for parking, but it's cheaper than a fine. Hope to come back soon, thanks

Our new favourite hotel in Melbourne! The staff were super welcoming and helpful. The rooms are a standard of luxury that is hard to find these days and great value. The bed was super comfy. 100% recommend.

Service and location great. Worse bed I've ever slept in and hair still in the drain of the shower

Worse hotel I have ever stayed at, no room service took nearly 2 hrs and 3 phone calls to reception just to get a simple bottle of sparkling bought up. Mini bar had nothing whatsoever, room was not cleaned on arrival and wasn’t turned over during my whole stay and yet again, I had to ring reception every time I needed new towels or toiletries. Night staff appalling rude and didn’t care to serve at all.no food or room service at all. At $400 a night I was so upset I recently stayed at crown for cheaper than what I paid here and got much better service including fully stocked mini bar room turned over and 24hr room service. I will never stay at this hotel again and will never recommend it to anyone. Beware to anyone who even thinks about staying here you will be disappointed had the room not been pre paid for we would have walked out the first night and checked into another hotel in the area that is worthy of being called a 5 star hotel.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Room was spacious but it was so noisy with the sound of pipes and aircon. Also the room wasn’t serviced every day, only if you hung the sign. The staff could use some training especially the weirdly, snobbish evening team. Stayed there for work but definitely won’t be going back.

Well appointed rooms with good decor and really cool artwork throughout the building. Well located. I never like rooms with frosted glass between the bathroom and rooms though and having to leave the hotel mid winter to find breakfast is a chore.

We always stay in this hotel every time we visit melbourne. Always book long stay of more than 13 days. This will be our 3rd times in the past 5 yrs. The carpet, bed and bathroom is still clean, strong water pressure in the shower, friendly staff, very spacious room with 2 twin bed and 2 tv, good kitchenette. Very good air circulation in the room as the window can be open. Top location as its very close to chapel st, plenty of restaurants and 2 supermarkets. We haven't found any hotel which is better than Cullen. The only downside is the noise from the gym in the morning, at 6-8am people dropping dumbbell and running around in the gym can be heard from 2-3floors under. Its super annoying.i just wish management can limit operating hours for the gym.

I love this place. I have stayed here on multiple occasions over the last 10 years and it never fails to please. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel has dozens of great restaurants, cafes and the best shopping in Melbourne within walking distance. It’s close to everything. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Plus free late checkout when we asked for it. We will keep coming back.

Rooms clean. Only downfall is that there is no breakfast in this hotel. They only have a restaurant for dinner only. There are not many places around for breakfast. It would be a lot better if they did. Commercial Rd and Chapel St.is more for dinner than breakfast.

Most comfortable bed ever.
Loved the Art work everywhere. Modern design. Spotlessly clean. An opening window. Everything works as it should. Book early, keep an eye on price and change if a better deal is found.
Prahran market is just across the road and so many cafes, coffee places, a few bakery's and restaurants close by.
Trams should be running along Commercial Rd soon. But an uber was $40 into Flinders St, $12.95 return.

Our experience was outstanding from the moment we arrived.

The staff especially were why beyond exceptional!
