The Coffee Club reviews
62After waiting 40 minutes for our order, i got Cold flat bread, served with chips instead of fries that i ordered on the app. My friend got a tiny bowl of pumpkin soup with cold toast. When we asked if he could please have to bowl filled a little more. We were told that everything was pre portioned and all they do is heat it up. So why the long wait? And if all they're doing is heating food up why was half our food cold. The person didn't offer any extra soup or compensation just left saying there was nothing they could do. Definitely needs a name rebranding to "The Disappointment Club" Lost a very frequent customer.
Big fan of The Coffee Club however, we won’t be returning here anytime soon. Service took ages. Food quality was poor as was presentation. Breakfast, poached egg came out boiled.
Seriously, you need to use a food grade bleach and soak all your coffee cups as they are absolutely filthy dirty. Takeaway cups would have been more hygienic.
Wow! Waited half an hour for an overpriced breakfast that arrived cold
Won't be coming back here again
Average coffee. Hit and miss with staff. Some are marvelous, others tedious. Slow to change signage so you can request the special only to find it's changed despite the signage on display.
Very disappointed. First time out for lunch with parents in over 6months. Egg was boiled, not poached, fritters cold, bacon not cooked, no lemon wedge.after a half hr wait. Asked for money back. Girl on register was lovely
. Owner, cook? Terrible. Wont be back
The corn and zucchini fritters were 80% batter. The temperature and texture seemed as though the fritters were just taken out of the freezer and defrosted in the microwave. At $19, overpriced would be an extreme understatement. Coffee was decent though.
It was alright. I'd give their coffee 3 out of 5. Good thing about this place is that it is inside the Spencer/DFO shopping centre and it's convenient if you want to go shopping before or after having a coffee. Area is spacious so that's a plus.
Horrible coffee. I ordered a regular flat white and got a milky latte with the beans not being crushed properly.
Such a good cafe. Great open ambience and the food is great too. Perfect for brunches, catch ups and good food.
I told the girls, and I meant it. It was the best Hot Chocolate I have ever had! 2nd to none. I even got one to have at my hotel later.
Coffee is ok there (not great for city standard tho). Plenty of seats and usually pretty quiet there. Average price for coffee.
Not much more to say other than there r much better places for a coffee but if you're trying to catch up with somebody or to relax a little after shopping around, then it's not a bad venue.
The (probably) owner scolded us for having to clean up after the many tables we kept switching between because of a strong urine odor maybe because of the location close to the toilets ️ The brunch food otherwise is surprisingly delicious for a mall and that's coming from a French person
I am a big fan of The Coffee Club as I tried them outside of Australia (UAE to be more specific) and they are amazing there.however I wouldn't say the same thing about this particular branch.
It's located after the the food court, so it won't give you the look & feel of a café. I ordered the Smashed Avo on Sourdough, served with dressed rocket, lemon & pumpkin seeds.with added poached egg & smoked salmon.in addition to almond flat white.
The food & coffee didn't take much time, and was served by a friendly staff. But despite all that, I was disappointed by the quality of the food & the coffee. Both were bland, hardly any taste to it, and just felt like I was let down. But I guess that's what you get for the price you pay.
Not sure if I'll try their other branches to be honest. This is not The Coffee Club I know.
Been to this place a day back and opted for the Big breakfast? Buttered? Ciabatta was quite good and the chipopolata sausages tasted quite fresh. Nice and good service as well.
Lovely service. Slight mixup with order but quickly rectified and with a smile. It was nice to sit and enjoy meal at the Spencer Street Outlet Store. Thanks to the team on today Friday 20 November.
It was 8AM and I decided to skip my morning lecture for some self-care. Walking through Spencer St Outlet in a productive mood, I came across this cafe looking all fresh and inviting, the smell of coffee luring me in. Found a scenic seat in a corner and ordered myself a wholesome yoghurt musli with a creamy chai latte. Opened my laptop and away I went, the beginning of what was a great day.
My husband and I with a couple of friends have visited this outlet several times and it just keep getting better! The food is excellent with very fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked. Easy to please our vegan friend. The staff are a delight - very efficient and helpful and all have a lovely sense of humour. They keep the cafe in fine condition, always clean and neat. But we have to make special mention of the coffee which is wonderful. We would not normally have a second cup but at The Coffee Club we do!
After a few recent visits and, some inconsistencies, I suspect this place has changed owners. This morning I bought a schnitzel sandwich, actually labelled "Fresh to Go. " Yeah, yesterday maybe. The bread was as hard as a rock. Bread dries out, sure, but this was beyond dry. I was asked if I wanted it "toasted"- often an indication that the bread is stale. I wanted the sandwich for later and wanted bread, not toast. I ended up throwing the bread away and making do with the schnitzel and lettuce, pondering over how old they might be. Serving up sub standard food is false economy. The eventual end result is a loss of customers.
Portion is good at least for me. Ordered big breakfast and it's good and filled my stomach. Staff were nice and friendly especially when my order was late.
Lovely nice cozy and relaxing place with the tastiest coffee and the nicest manager who’s kindness reminds Santa Claus. Feels like you're about to have a flight as the place has an atmosphere of an airport right before Christmas. The team is also very kind and caring. I wish I knew about this place before. Thank you for your good work and keep it up!
