The Coach reviews
85 Great service. Fast, friendly and take away orders available.
I ordered a chicken Parma takeaway. The only downfall was the chicken was burnt and too much sauce on the Parma. But still overall enjoyable.
The service and meals where fantastic.
The QR code ordering system was not. It is very 'clunky' and very slow. You have to double check everything. Three times we had to send drinks or meals back due to the inaccuracies of the system. Twice I selected a category and it went to a different one. Very poor system.
I changed the starts as I went there again and this time I ordered Veal Scallopini and it was really amazing. Although my first experience was not pleasant the first time, this time it really made it up, thanks to the owner who took care of my first experience.
Nice modern feel to the restaurant, decent size menu too. Decided to try a couple of cocktails as they were very reasonably priced! The raspberry mojito was a interesting twist to a classic, but it was a bit too strong for my taste. Fruit tingle was very good though, not too sweet which they often are.
The new menu is good and doesn't have too many items on it. Yesterday I had the big boy burger. Very large meal I couldn't quite finish the chips. Burger was cooked very well and was still a little pink. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Upon entry I checked in using the app in front of the desk. I was then railed over where my mask was. I informed the lady we were exempt. She tried to tell me it was their policy. Sorry I am exempt, your policy is irrelevant. I told her why we were medically exempt, not something I'm required to do, even if stopped by the police. Then I told her we were sitting outside anyway, then we were "allowed" to enter. We were moved to an outside area where we were completely alone. It was good as we were in the sun and it was pleasant. Only then to be moved somewhere in the shade. Again we were the only people in the outside area, but needed to be on another table. We then had to ask for menu's as we were in no man's land without any direction and when finally after prompting service were told that we were not to enter the establishment to order etc.
Sorry coach, you need to go back and read the definition of "hospitality". I'll never return and feel very strongly about what it means to have proper service. I suggest anyone considering this place to go somewhere else.
Nicely renovated and great sportsbar, good spot to catch up with mates in a convenient location. Aussie Parma is delicious but would recommend to include a garden salad not coleslaw with the Parma’s. Steer clear of the Tempura fish and chips!
Above average Bistro fare with typical "at the counter" ordering and service, the only downside was the noise, low ceilings and poor acoustics make conversation a throat tearing chore.
Nice venue, the food used to be great. Now it's a little hit and miss. I went with a large party and some people had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. My meal was average and the quantity was less than in the past. I used to love eating there, not anymore. Disappointing.
Both our parmas were burnt and the waitress decided they wasn't and took a photo to prove a point. Poor service all round
Disappointing. Had the special chicken filo parcel and husband had the ribs. Both were underwhelming and we did not finish. However, lemon calamari start was nice. Kids were happy with the kids fish and chips, but won’t be back soon.
Looks can be deceiving.nice renovation, but the whole purpose for the business being.well a restaurant is ummm.questionable. Was edible but bland! Wine was nice but that was out of a bottle.wouldn't recommend as a place to eat.
Great food and lovely atmosphere.
The Coach has gone through a really lovely refurbishment, and the experience was lovely. Ordering was easy online (for a contactless process during the pandemic), and the menu is expansive with lots of different options to choose from.
Service was friendly and fast. Will be back!
Amazing renovations and a really nice place to go for a meal. Only thing I found hard to understand is why on weekends the Senior meals are full price. With no senior discount unfortunately we will not be attending on a weekend again. It's a pity as as we had a really nice time.
Haven't been here since renovations and change of ownership and was very pleasantly surprised. Nice open dining and drinking spaces with the poker machine area completely removed from vision. Very nice meals with the Beef and Guiness pie and Nasi Goreng both exceptional. Will actually be coming back soon
Staff were friendly and efficient, unfortunately the food was bland and overpriced for what it is.
Food was very average, batter on flathead tails was below average, haloumi crumbed sticks were over fried, nice surrounds and fun kids room for the little ones earns the stars.
Good good and facilities, however they benefit heavily from pokies and I threw up that very next morning
We had a chicken mushroom risotto and a Chili Prawn linguine. Both dishes were very nice. We ordered online from the table which was one of their covid options. The food was a bit slow in coming out, otherwise I would've rated it 5 stars. We ended up ordering a coffee and a cake whilst waiting for dinner, the mars bar cake was delicious.
Disappointing experience. Firstly no Senior's menu available on the weekend. Then my Asian noodle meal was so salty as to be largely inedible and not enjoyable.
Also it became extremely noisy and difficult to hear what was being said.
The new decor was good.
