A hidden gem. My parents told me they’ve been to this place back in the 90s, came today for a pitstop and they said it still taste as good as it did back then. This place needs more recognition!

Still as delicious as when I was a kid. Never disappoints.
Always get 1/4 Chicken, chips and gravy in a foil tray, can't beat it.
Prices are still pretty cheap.

I saw someone had given these guys 1 star for the chips - yeah, nah. Don't believe a bar of it - these are THE BEST CHIPS IN MELBOURNE. The seasoning on them is perfection.chicken is great and the Potato bake is a delicious bonus.tip though: always collect in-person. I found out the hard way that Menulog will rock up after 1 hour with cold food which in no way, shape or form does justice to this place, our new go-to.

Sadly, the worse chips in Melbourne.

The chicken and gravy is really nice - to be honest - but the chips are absolutely disgusting, with a good 25% being inedible due to black/brown/green marks and sour taste.

As a result we had to increase or chip order size to compensate for those that will be thrown away but it is now at the stage when we are eating them, we have to check each chip which says it all really! With so many being thrown away, it devalues the chips and adds to the wastage.

They used to be really nice, but for the past year or so, they have become notably worse and worse.

Hopefully they can improve the chips so that we can enjoy chicken, chips and gravy without having to check each chip!

Very nice food! Great chicken and chips with nice flake. Also Jam donuts and Dim sims. A great place for a quick bite or dinner

This place is so good! Amazing charcoal chickens, salads, chips and potato bake with service with a smile. Would recommend.

My uncle quandsle dingle bought me some raw chicken so i broke his breathing machine and told my cousin albert finger noodle the 3rd and ate chicken. 10/10 experience

Cheap, quick, & tasty. Highly recommend the scalloped potatoes. My only complaint would be that is closes around 8pm and can't always make it in time after a long shift, for what it is it's hard to get them anything less than 5 stars. There's a reason they've been there for as long as I can remember.

Hands down best chicken I have tasted in a very long time! And affordable great price too! Roasted nicely and cooked well, chicken is soft and flavoured really well. Like heaven. Will definitely buy from here again. Thanks for supplying great quality food, and for your service. I highly recommend to anyone.

Great food and very generous servings, however, I would recommend that when packing Uber or Menulog orders, please staple the bag closed. We received our order and the bag was not closed and the lid of the chips was open so I ended up throwing them out because I could not be sure that the delivery person did not touch the food.

I used to come here in 2002/2003 and I loved it. It's almost been 20 years but still remember how bloody good it was. I need to go back.

Used to come here all the time after school over a decade ago. Came for a visit and it was like only yesterday I set foot in here.

Everything is still the same, consistency is still there and I love it! Quarter chicken and chips with gravy and a can of coke for lunch, spot on.

Excellent service, when you get fresh chips they're awesome and chicken is tasty. Calamari pack is huge and well worth it, nice and fresh

I love Chicken Machine, I always call in for a schnitzel burger and chips if I'm in the area, friendly staff and generous servings.

Great food, friendly staff very helpful, prices are good, l could eat their food every day. Its that good.
