The Central Grind reviews
33Really bad to wake up and prepare for your breakfast and the place is closed, should update the info that it only opens at 8am.not before that
Horrible. Service was average, food was horrendous. Ordered poached eggs, expect them to be runny especially if no butter is used on the toast. Was served essentialy hard boiled eggs. Bacon was excessively over cooked as was home made hash brown. It had no taste what so ever.
Coffee was bitter.
Will never come back.
I recently stopped at the Central Grind for coffee and breakfast when driving from Canberra to Port Augusta, and also on the return trip. The Central Grind is located at the front entrance of the Mildura Central on Fifteenth Street. There is plenty of free parking, including under-cover, provided at Mildura Centra. When first time I visited I walked through the automatic sliding door and approached the counter. I was told that I could sit anywhere as there was plenty of room (it was around 9.30am) and that I had to place my order first at the counter. I ordered a cafe mocha in a mug to drink in the cafe
Manager was rude and impatient, the rest of the staff are lovely. Found it difficult to cut the bagel, despite being given a steak knife to do so.
Excellent service yummy coffee.it is a nice relaxing atmosphere and is bright, modern. The breakfasts are tasty
Every time I visit The Central Grind I have the hash brown breakfast which is always fantastic. The poached eggs are always soft and runny, generous portions of bacon and the hash browns offer a nice and flavoursome alternative to bread.
The coffees and mango smoothie are also great.
Decor is clean and modern and very comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxed and it’s a great place to stay to do some work or read the paper. Everyone always seems to be happy to be there.
Highly recommend.
This cafe is really nice right up to the point when you start to eat. Could only disappoint if you have fully functioning taste buds.
Busy but consistently good quality. Happy with the service and the selection of food. Very nice Decor too
Got charged $6.50 for a glass store brought Nippy's orange juice, which would only cost $4 at Woolies. What a rip off.
We ordered the steak sandwiches [without the bread] sadly both arrived with raw eggs & slimy green bits of salad
Loved our breakfast here. My hubby had the Grind style Big Brekky and I had the new skool Benny. Impressed and convinient because we were waiting for our car to be washed next door.
Good service. Ok coffee. Had the New Skool Benny. Was really looking forward to this. 2 poached eggs on grain toast with smoked salmon, asparagus and 2 corn and potato fritters. Eggs were a little undercooked and sadly, the one thing I was really looking forward to was the fritters but they were undercooked and oily. Salmon and asparagus were great.
Friendly service, good food for a reasonable price (breakfast, coffee). Nice atmosphere, quiet enough to hear each other talk. Recommended.
