The Central Grind reviews
33 If you are happy to wait over 30 minutes for your coffee, this is the place to go. Talk about snail of pace service.
After being on the road for over 4 hours pulled in for much needed coffee, only to be made to wait over 30 minutes.
Also foid is overpriced. For $22 you get 1 piece of half toasted bread, a thick click of a tomato, 2 patched eggs and a quarter if advocado.
Go inside, better food, coffee and service.
Service was non existent. Looked like two male street kids, the way they were dressed and said absolutely nothing. Food was nice but the service destroyed our experience
Food ordinary. Got the shrivelled up end of tomato and hardly anything for 22 dollars. At least cut the end off the tomato. Yuk.
Had a coffee and “Lemon Tart”. The coffee was ok but the Tart was bizarre, and in eatable so just left it. The atmosphere was pretty good.
I went here with one other person and we ordered the Ploughman's toastie to share and each got a spiced chai. The toastie itself was alright, nothing special though. However, the chai we had was so bland it was just like drinking sweetened milk. No taste of tea or any spices, not even a hint of cinnamon. The place also had very poor acoustics and was incredibly loud. The staff were friendly though and although it took 15-20 minutes to get our drinks this is likely because they only have one barista for the entire place and it was busy (but keep in note the people next to us who got here after us got their drinks before us so take that with a grain of salt).
Overall our experience was mediocre at best. I hope that they get the chances they need to improve:)
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BRILLIANT CUSTOMER SERVICE, DELICIOUS HOT FRESH FOR FANTASTIC, will ALWAYS EAT HERE WHEN IN MILDURA
Great Great Great! Staff amazing, coffee is beautiful and atmosphere outstanding. Pricing also good
Dined in for lunch. Service was quick. I had the roast pumpkin soup and my husband had the pork belly salad. Both were delicious. Staff were friendly. Would definitely return to eat again.
Had brunch eggs Benedict with salmon and coffee.close to the best I.ve ever had and the staff are fantastic. Can.t praise the venue enough
Had never been there before, am not much of a coffee drinker but their hot chocolate was a great warmer for these dreary days
Unfortunately the first time we visited this Cafe will be the last. The manager is rude, does not wear her mask properly over her nose, picks up the drinking vessels by the rim with uncovered hands so if you wouldn't mind her putting her fingers in your mouth by all means go there. My wife and I both have experience in the catering industry and what we saw was not good particularly under the current health situation happening in Australia
Decided to grab a quick snack for myself and my partner and ended up choosing the chicken cheese and avo toasted sandwich in the display window. After over 15 minutes of waiting for a pre made toasted sandwich, we were handed a sandwich as thin as my forearm and less than half of it’s length… that was somehow valued at $12.50. The only thing that might have saved this experience was the taste of the sandwich itself… but upon taking 2 bites into the cardboard that it was, we found there was no avocado… in a chicken cheese avocado toastie. If you feel like selling your car and spending it on an overpriced price cardboard and avo sandwich without the avo, then you’ll love this place but if you’re like me then you probably won’t.
Really enjoyed our breakfast here, to be picky maybe just a little noisy, but hey thats a great sign for a small business in covid times!
Great food and service, the cakes are home made and very nice, favourite breakfast eatery in Mildura
Great breakfast and coffee. The service was very good and also quick. Not as crowded as the cafes in town which was a bonus.
Coffee is great. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Have quite a few gluten free options which wins me
The Central Grind has always great coffee and delicious meals. My favourite the Hash Brown Stack, Yummo!
Actually decent service, being greeted by friendly staff where nothing is a problem is great. Shame about the toilet smell in the alfresco area though
Very good for a cafe adjoined to a shopping centre. I was quite impressed. Very coffee focused. Some good light options for brunch. Worth a stop off of you visit the centre.
Love breakfast here on a Saturday morning. French toast with berries. Great coffee, excellent menu with variety to suit everyone. Lovely friendly staff
