Eclectic and gorgeous. With friendly and divine staff this place was shown too me by my girlfriend who is a regular. It is everything I would want from a Melbourne Bar.

What a gorgeous venue with amazing staff! We’ve been here for the improv show twice now and each time have been really impressed. Simone, Olly and the rest of the team were always helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Great hidden gem for Melbourne Cabaret and comedy. Only down side is all the stàirs and the lack of air-conditioning in the theatre but if you don't mind that you will enjoy this little venue

Love this place! Great vibe, Jude Perl was amazing, and so great to be able to get back out to see shows at a venue with solid covid-safe practices.

Hard not to be drawn in by the decor and contents of this quirky hidey-hole at the end of a suitably nondescript, CBD alleyway. Find yourself a cosy spot and drink it all in!

Visited with friends last night for the Big Hoo Haa and had accidentally booked tix for the wrong night: (however the door person offered to transfer the tickets despite booking via a third party - super lovely and sorted in a moment.
The show was great, we stayed for cocktails after and the beer selection is decent. Wonderful staff and environment, looking forward to returning

Venue has awesome vibe, with its mazelike layout and theatrical props strewn about.hosts great shows, like Sassurday!

Went there for the one-woman Marlene Deitrich show. Great performance. Felt I got my money's worth. Because I arrived early, I had time to use the facilities & relax in a comfy chair with a well made aperol spritz. Had an opportunity to have a chat with a couple of ladies who also had never been to this venue. Staff were friendly. Be warned that there are many steps.

Very quirky place up an alley way, saw a Satuday night show the Big Hoohaa, an hour of ad-lib. Good fun and lots of laughs, bar available. Set on multiple levels not wheelchair or crutch friendly. The only downfall is when the showfinished nobody directed us as to if the was anything else to see or do at the club so we just left.

Can feel a little cramped if busy, but staff are really friendly and host some really fine comedy acts

We saw the murder village show and it was great! Highly recommend. I took off a couple of stars because the cocktails are pretty terrible. Definitely drink elsewhere.

Fun, actively queer friendly, and decorated in the most eccentric fashion possible. There's always something fun to watch or listen to here, and a great atmosphere to boot. The Butterfly Club has really nice cocktails, and the rooftop smoking area is a perfect little secluded spot if you need to get away from the fun downstairs.

This was my first trip to the Butterfly Club and I hopefully will come back from. My partner and I visited for a friend's birthday. We attended the Friday night piano session. It is ten dollars entry and you get to enjoy listening to all nights of piano songs on request. You can also sing along, so ultimate kareoke!

The part I really liked, no pressure on cover charge to be cash. You can pay by card. Enjoy good two birds beer or one of the cocktails.

The place is amazing with porcelain dolls, toys and amazing ornaments! Check out.

Still one of my favourite bars in Melbourne! Brilliant for a subdued night out, the Butterfly Club’s quiet tunes and intriguing atmosphere encourages conversation. The tasty cocktails also help, and if you really want to make it a night then see a show!

The most annoying people to work around. The most ridiculously shrill woman I've ever heard in my life screams all day while "rehearsing". They play music way loud and usually have terrible singers and half rate bands.

Iconic venue offering small theatre immersive experience. The bar and lounge are attractions on their own! Staff are lovely.
