Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere! Couldn't get over how beautifully decorated the hall was. Went for dinner and was delighted at how nice everything was. Little overpriced considering the size of some dishes, but cannot fault a thing otherwise. Will happily be back

We got married at the Brunswick Mess Hall a couple of months ago. We couldn't have had a better experience - Luke and the rest of the BMH team are the absolute best. They could not have been more helpful or accommodating.

We had the ceremony in the Mess Hall, then moved our guests next door to Little Mess for cocktail hour, then back to the Mess Hall for a seated dinner. The venue was the perfect size for our group (112) and had space for a big dance floor, a photo booth and both indoor and outdoor places where people could sit and talk away from the noise. The venue is so colourful, quirky and warm, and looked amazing on the day.

The food was incredible (and there was so much of it!) ; we are still getting comments from friends and family months later. All of our guests had full plates and full glasses all night - the floor staff did such a great job.

We're so glad we picked the Mess Hall for our wedding, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a wedding venue in inner-Melbourne.

Brunswick Mess Hall allowed us to run a fantastic fundraising dinner. They were professional, helpful and accomodating. The venues manager was very approachable and allowed for last minute changes to dietary requirements and seating plans. Despite a 43 degree day, the room was surprisingly comfortable. Delicious food, drinks and cocktail punchbowls - we are keen to re-book this for our next event!

We had our wedding reception at the Brunswick Mess Hall in January 2020, and it was absolutely perfect and even more magical than we could have imagined. Luke is exceptional at his job, and just generally a beautiful human. He helped us with every last minute change, indecisive moment, and even made sure our cardboard cutout of Kevin James made it home safe. There were a lot of moving parts - we were busing people from outside of the city from the ceremony, we made a whole lot of last minute decisions, and we were planning it all from overseas. Not a single thing went wrong - Luke made the process a breeze and we could not find a thing to worry about.

The food was delicious, the cocktails were incredible, the room was BEAUTIFUL, the staff were super friendly, and our guests had the best night ever. Our whole event was vegan, and even the most stubborn meat eaters commented on how good the food was.

I highly recommend the mess hall for any event, and especially recommend working with Luke and his sparkly shoes. Thank you everyone at BMH!

I love this place it’s warm and the food has always been beautiful.
Friday though took a friend over.waiters looked like they were so unhappy to work there and the Chinese broccoli ruined my night.the plate was overpowered with garlic. I felt safe from vampires.but both were too stressed by the bad breath to come. I think I will need to stop having nightmares about that dish before I return.

We got married at the Brunswick Mess Hall in January. It was everything we dreamed of, all thanks to Luke and his team! They made sure that everything ran smoothly, the food was delicious, the staff friendly and welcoming towards all of our guests.
We couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and reception venue for our special day.

As soon as we walked in we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. It is beautiful and relaxed with the perfect Melbourne vibe. Luke could not have been more awesome if he had tried in helping us with all the preparation. He made it so easy for us and set up the wedding amazingly. All the guests have told us how much they loved all the food and there was more than enough to feed everyone. We can not recommend this venue enough, best place to eat drink and be merry by far!

Held my daughter's 21st here on Saturday night. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was amazing and the pricing was very reasonable. Drinks package was great, I recommend the punch bowls. Thanks so much to Luke, Amy and the rest of the BMH staff. We had a fantastic time)

I booked the jungle room for March 9th for my 21st and every ounce of customer service provided was impeccable.
I was emailing back and forth with Luke for organising it and he was so incredibly helpful, it made the event so easy.
Everything was amazing, the kind workers, bar service, FOOD! Omg the food was insane!
I will never not recommend this place, and I hope to come back soon.

We ordered Uber eats and honestly for the price they charge I was expecting high quality food. Seeing as it’s $26 for a chicken curry.

We had the baos, spring rolls, green curry, pork bites, roti. Over priced small portions, there are far better Asian fusion restaurants in Melbourne for a better price. I’m surprised at all the great reviews posted up here. I would have given 3 stars if it was reasonably priced.

Been here quite a few times and always enjoy it. There’s a great selection of Asian fusion food and cocktails. Highly recommend the pork balls and the baos.

Delicious food that caters for all dietry requirements. Lovely, funky function space upstairs. Great for a little party.

What can I say!

Every time I go with my partner we have such a great experience! All the goods: high quality food, great atmosphere and excellent customer service! I remember once I went there with my partner and we were so undecided as usual and the waitress at that time explained to us the menu so well, offered specials so we ate her suggestions and it was amazing! Didn’t even need the paper menu, we enjoyed every single dish we ate that day! Thanks

From the architecture it appears to have once been a church, especially if the windows are anything to go by.
I was there for a wedding. The setting and the seating was intimate but casual.
The crowd were mainly young and happily stood around, enjoying the endless entree style nibbles. No particular style - fresh broad beans in parmesan, fried prawns in batter, kebabs.you get the idea.
The acoustics were very loud, and unfortunately only got louder.
Not for those wanting a quieter atmosphere.

Went for a wedding at this venue, very noisy with a large group. The acoustics didn't lend themselves to hearing much of the service or speeches. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was great.

Wonderful food and quite lovely staff, however. Had this venue booked for my wedding reception with contracts signed but were then forced to change venues when they realised they could make more money with the Sydney Road Festival. We asked for compensation for the invites we had already sent to our guests and heard nothing back. Again, lovely place and food but be warned, if they can make more money elsewhere they won’t think twice about canceling your booking

Food was top! Service was nice and staff where lovely, a bit pricey. But that's just Brunswick and Melbourne in general.

PS: order the duck, if you're a vegan, I hate you.

Amazing venue, hired beautiful Jungle Room for my 21st. The staff were incredible and the food was great. Will be coming back for sure! Highly recommend for functions.

Good value for money, decent location, very very helpful and happy staff. The food was good quality however they had "run out" of a menu item and "their oven wasn't working" both which i found to be a cop out hence the reduction of one star.
