Firstly, heard about the negative responses about hosting events here. I fail to see how they could be detrimental to the flora and fauna The areas set aside for these events are well away from the environment areas. This was my first time to The Briars won't be my last, what an incredible place to visit. The well signed trails, the abundant wallaby, echidna and bird sightings and plenty of shaded seating areas. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into this place.the public visiting The Briars would do well to remembering that and keep this place a show piece for other establishments to aspire to be like.

We had a lovely visit to the Briars taking a picnic lunch with us and checking out the visitor centre. We were disappointed that the Homestead is currently closed for renovations but enjoyed walking around the homestaead gardens. The wildlife Sanctuary was well worthwhile but the interpretation signs were out of date. The bird hide was huge and we saw lots of waterbirds and a wading kangaroo. We were concerned to learn that the sanctuary is the venue for a commercial Harry Potter experience and hope the effect on the wildlife is minimised. We will come again when the homestead restoration is completed.

We saw plenty of wallabies and also some kangaroos! Great place to go for a good 35-40 minute walk - pure nature. Also at the bird hide we saw two beautiful swans.
If you're lucky you might see an emu or three and also an echidna.
At the visitor centre there is a nice fireplace and also a decent-sized aquarium with fish, a small turtle and an eel.
Highly recommended!

Beautiful homestead and lots of land around to explore. Many lovely little picnic tables around too. I highly recommend checking out the old homestead while you're there.

Did a nature walk, it was a great walk but dont do it in the wet as in places can be slippery

A relaxing nature walk. A cafe, public BBQ and picnic tables for use. Plenty of wildlife, birdwatching seats, and good scenery.

Lovely for a wander with the kids, lookout for the wildlife.emus roaming, wallabies and koalas.

A few walking tracks to select from too

For free entry, the park is well worth a visit and support the cafe on-site too for a yummy hot choccy!

Great place to come visit! All kinds of animals, we went mid day, it was pretty hot and we weren't expecting to see much but we still saw a good amount of animals. Great place to get out into nature and spend some tike in the outdoors, best part is that it's free

A great walk but it just felt dangerous with so much dead timber everywhere including overhead. Wetlands area worth a visit.

Always a wonderful place to visit. Myriad fauna and flora - snake, blue tongue lizard, echidna and 2 emus spotted. (Only downside is the hot water boiler has been shut off for over 4 YEARS, with no sign of any alternative. H+S overkill.)

Lots to aee and do while here.
Bring a picnic if you like or wander over to the Rose garden Tea rooms. The Eco centre has inovative ideas for those wanting to live environmentally friendly.
The bird hides are are a great way to get up close to some of our migrating birds as well asbthe lovals.

A bit anodyne.
Nice walk, but only if you are in the area. Otherwise, not worth travelling only for this.

My wife and I got married in the Jacksons Point area on Sept 17,2021. We had the opportunity to search for a suitable location for our Reception and Party afterwards. We had looked at several resorts and finally decided on The Briars Resort and Spa in Jacksons Point.

From day 1 with dealing with the resort staff at the Briars, we quickly learned that the staff were professional and competent in everything we encountered with them. At a time when it was most challenging with the Covid issues at hand and having some restrictions to deal with, they rose to the occasion and were amazing.

Michelle Poirier, the wedding co-ordinator, was fantastic. She listened to our requests and was very accommodating with everything. At a time when we were planning our dancing inside the great room a day before the wedding, we were told that we could not dance inside the room due to the then current covid restrictions. Michele took it upon herself to contact the Food and Beverage manager David Scott in order to assist us with our predicament.

David Scott within minutes showed up in the great room and provided us with an alternative that turned out to be nothing short of amazing. Briars had sent up an outside huge tent during the covid times and he offered us to have our reception inside the great room for dinner and then transform out to the tent for our dancing and party. The outside tent was fantastic as everyone could relax without the hassle of masks. David arranged for the bar to be situated at the tent for our guests. It was truly spectacular as the weather was perfect.

The food and excellent service along with the beautiful resort with all the amenities you could ask for made our special day that much more amazing.

We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking to relax and have an incredible stay with excellent food and service overall.

Again thank you Briars, David and Michelle for a sensational overall experience and we will definitely be back for a visit soon.

One of my favorite places to go for a stroll. Always encounter a few kangaroos, wallabies and emus.

Our favorite local escape, even before lockdowns.
The bush walks never fail to delight, sometimes even fright.
Watch out for snakes sunning themselves on the trails.

Walked the wetlands walk. It was very relaxing. Unfortunately numbering didn't appear to relate to anything unless we needed to pick up a pamphlet. Not suitable for pushers, wheelchairs or unsteady walkers.

May want to update some of the information promoting it, when you get there and it's closed but everywhere says it's open.
