The Basin Fish & Chips Shop

I go here for a quick snack whenever I am in the area. The area was clean on my visit. A very polite staff served me. Some seats available outside otherwise inside are two benches ideal for waiting as your order is prepared I would say.

Fish was under cooked and the owner tried to tell us that is how it cooks up. In the end he did refund the money for the fish. All so found hair in the chips

The food is delicious and it is cooked to perfection and they do a great job with how they cook it and that's very good cooks

Great person to deal with, awesome fish an chips, great deals for family size meals, cant go wrong, we enjoy it everytime we go, awesome bakery a few shops down for fresh bread, grab some fresh hot chips, small grocery down the end for some butter and condiments, lovely park to sit at across the rd and enjoy some good old chip sangers

Fresh and yummy. Great service, well ran and very clean. The fish bites are great if you don't want a heavy meal or wish to mix it up with other items. Burgers are never fatty. Happy client

Great fish and chips.grilled flake in flour or breadcrumbs is amongst the best we've ever had. All served up with bright, happy and efficient service. Well worth the visit to try.

Fried flake had that slight sea water smell, tasted great and reminded me of fish and chips at the beach when I was younger.
At first thought they were stingy on the chips, turns out they hide them incredibly well for $2. Had more than enough.
Potato cake unfortunately was bought and not big fluffy made ones like other shops do.
Dim sims are what you'd expect, also good.
All up I rate this place, and I suggest others check it out also.

Ordered over the phone and had the person repeat the order back to me, when I went in I they also read it out. I ordered 1 grilled flake and 3 battered flake.the grilled was the size we were used to, but the battered pieces were tiny.no more than 30gms each.paid 5.80 per piece for a measly serving.will definitely not be going back for this ripoff

I only get one I've of fish, as a finger-food snack to eat on my way home. Always nice. Good service also.

Since the new owner took over, the food is cooked perfectly, not 1 complaint from me or the people I have recommended to the fish and chip shop, not too oily, fish is not overly battered and very friendly to deal with.

Always served with a smile and story, great local fish shop, and all the neighbouring businesses eat there.

The food is not too bad, had the fish and chips for lunch. The guy servicing us didn't really care about customer service, he looked really tired however.

Decent food, but the grilled fish is the star of the show easily.

Just watch out that the steam in the packaging doesn't condensate and leak all over you.:/

I (almost) always get really good fish and chips from this shop, been going to this one for a few years now.

Average food (5/10) Bad customer service (1/10). Staff are rude and kept constantly staring at my friends and I for no reason. Giving us the 'you're not welcome look'. We just want to eat some fish and chips in peace! Would not recommend this place to anyone. Never eating here again. Okay, thanks, bye.
