The American Creswick

Fantastic pub, great setting, late afternoon early evening summer sun. Wonderful vibe from host Brendan, staff were focused. Superb food, just what we needed.

Friendly staff, great food, had little kids they loved it had paper and crayons on the table to keep them busy, would highly recommend the American best experience.

Very friendly staff and the meals were delicious. Absolutely recommend getting the chunky fries entree. Flavoured beautifully and a generous serving size.

Highly recommend! Friendly service is always makes a new experience a reason to go back and we were met with smiles. We stopped after a long day picking up a motorbike and were met with beautiful service and absolutely amazing food, I can't say enough about the food! And definitely try out their own brand beer too ;)

The American exceeded all expectations. We went here expecting a basic pub meal and instead got a five star dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant was cosy, and the lamb gyros and pepper calamari salad could not be faulted. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Long trip home.out for tea instead of cooking? Hmmmm The American! As usual they surpassed their standards. Beetroot salad and side of chips, Oreo cheesecake and apple and Berry crumble. Couldn't have th ice cream or cream so Brendan and Millie came up with lemon sorbet. Sooooo good

Worst night dining ever with staff care factor zero.wrong wine and wrong meals delivered.waitress "I dunno". Was the response. I am still coming to terms with being charged fill price plus side charged for items brought out in an effort to fix their errors. Asked this to be passed on to owner but I doubt that happened. Disgusted actually. Ruined our night out

It was a pleasure to stop off at the American and meet Brendon and his team, hear about all the refurbishing and return for dinner with friends.
Dinner was definitely worth the drive out of Daylesford especially the sticky date pudding. Great service! Thank you for hospitality!

Friendly and attentive service staff. Relaxed environment. Family friendly with crayons and paper at the table for the wee people. The food was yummy. Slow cooked beef and classic sticky date pudding!

We were there for a dinner function. Meals came out quickly for a big group. 3 course meal was delicious. Fast friendly service.

I love the place. Amazing Old style building and design. Very Very friendly and honest staff members. Clean and tidy. I always feel I'm home when I stay there. Amazing and I will always stay there any time I go to creswick.

Always a gr8 filling feed here, gr8 management and staff following covid checking etc. Plenty of spaced and comfortable seating in lovely ambient surrounds, local produce and wines out door seating and private rooms available. Should book tho, easy parking and access for all.

Very friendly and comfortable pub. Very good service, great food and a good selection of beers. Stayed the night in single room. Would highly recommend.

Great food, visited with 2 young children, nothing was too much trouble for them, wide choice of dishes, reasonable prices too. Great, cannot fault the place
