57Given we have only just come out of a second lockdown and are now able to dine in again it was surprising to see only one staff member wearing a mask front of house. Other staff waiting and serving tables with no mask what so ever. Very disappointing. Won't be going back. We all need to do our bit if we want to avoid a third lockdown.
Food is nice, but don't seat next to the corridor that goes to toilet, you can smell the odour from the toilet
Extensive menu, great fresh food, big servings, budget friendly and good service. Nothing to complain about.
In all the changes taking place on Victoria Street, Thanh Ha 2 has remained uncompromising in both decor and quality of food.
Really great food. One star off just because they didn't marked the dish was spicy. The bathroom was a bit dirty. Service was all right. Otherwise, I may back try more.
Here provides all Vietnamese cuisine and all the food is delicious traditional and fresh, highly recommendation!
It might have all Vietnamese dishes you could think of in their menu and one of the busiest in Melbourne.
Seeing that the Banh Xeo is what everyone else seemed to be raving about, I ordered the pork and prawn Banh Xeo and I was not disappointed! Thin and flaky along the edges, and soft where the fillings are, it was a treat to eat. I would have personally preferred the fillings to be a bit more seasoned but this was the easily rectify with any sauce of your choice.
The Bun Bo Hue came with so much ingredients that we thought it might have been a mistake. Tender slices of meat, pig's blood, sausages - all swimming in a hearty and flavourful bowl of soup.
We also had the Tomato Rice with Diced Beef & Garlic, and while the rice was alright, the diced beef were very tender and juicy.
Despite how busy it was, the food arrived in a prompt manner, and the service was friendly and attentive. No wonder it's such a popular place.
OMG Ive been searching far and wide for really good banh xeo and this place did not disappoint. Super crispy and it had a good amount of meat and shrimp. We also ordered the banh khot which was also delicious. I would definitely come back. Also the banh xeo is HUGE.
There's great authentic food but the menu is a bit pricey. I ordered the banh hoi with the leaf covered beef. It was tasty but disappointed in the serving. Some dishes were a hit or miss in terms of proportion vs value. I didn't order the banh xeo but the table next to me did and it was huge!
But efficient and friendly service!
Amazing banhxeo and bbh which I would come back for. The broken and tomato rice dish portions have decrease in size so wasn't that special.
Best vietnamese in Melbourne, fast service despite it being busy all the time, authentic taste and the sliced beef in the pho was thin and tasty
This was my favourite Victoria St Vietnamese restaurant for 5 years until the last 2 times I've been there. The Pho was extremely oily and the beef was tough - the only upside was the herbs were fresh. The Banh Xeo has been stingy with the filling. Meals come out completely haphazard which I expect to an extent but not 10 mins after my friend has finished. The Bun has become stingy too. It was previously a place full of Asians but now that many more white people go there, it's lost its authenticity and I won't be returning!
This is my favourite restaurant of all time. The food is delicious and I highly recommend. Can’t give enough praise.
I have been in many Asian restaurants and I have never been dissapointed. This place smells. The food is way to small for the price you pay. Very dissapointing
This little restaurant serves the best meals and not shy on its servings awesome customer service and by far the best Vietnamese food I've ever had
Great Vietnamese on a street with many great ones. These guys specialise in giant Vietnamese pancakes and broken rice dishes. In fact they offer loads of great dishes. It can get busy, and dishes can come out a little haphazard, but a great lunch or dinner in any case. The tea they serve is delicious and are the loads of accompanying sauces and chillies. Highly recommended.
