TGI Fridays Southland

Putha was absolutely amazing tonight! We work in the centre and wanted to eat here after work and she had our table and food all organised for us when we got there after work and looked after us so so well after we had a long day at work! Thanks you so much for everything:)

Was served by Jack, very strange and endearing little man behind the bar, he made great drinks and was very nice. Kind of weird Harry Potter glasses on, but that's fine I guess.

Food was awesome. The TGI dip was so good.

We got the chicken wings, the pulled pork burgers and the loaded potato skins. All of it was great. The potato skins were a little pricey for what we got.was expecting more food.

The kids menu is also good. Even fussy eaters will be accommodated.

Only gripes were that our food came out before the kids food. Thankfully only had to wait a minute or two though so not a major complaint.

It was really loud music wise so hard to hear each other and I couldn’t find tap water on the menu (that may have just been me missing it though).

Overall everything you’d expect from a TGI Fridays. Food and service was excellent.

We were quickly seated and ordered drinks which came quickly. However we were seated behind a gentlemen at the bar who was engaging in very inappropriate conversation with his female friend which made my partner and I extremely uncomfortable and that’s very hard to do! The staff were very helpful, understanding and discreet in helping us move tables. I appreciate the young male manger who came and checked on us and apologised which he shouldn’t have had to do. The food was great however found the app to be very buggy, couldn’t order the new summer cocktails. Our evening ended better than it started!

The chicken Caesar salad was too heavy with lettuce and I realise that is one of the main ingredients but more often than not, with every mouthful it seemed like the only ingredient. Staff were professional and friendly.

Ordering system is far from efficient, was also charged twice for an item and only received once. Value for money is hard to see for a family restaurant in a shopping centre, not exactly waterfront dining. Steak was cooked well and staff were friendly.

Really disappointing experience. Ordered the burger, it arrived warm and dry. The chips were terrible and cold. Overpriced for the quality of food produced. Everything tasted like it had been reheated. Won’t be returning again.

The service and the presentation of the food/venue was great, however the food wasn't that good. I had a steak, asked for medium rare and was well done/medium well, the chips were on the cold side and were not seasoned with anything. My mates had burgers and had the same outcome with their chips and their burgers didn't have a lot of flavour, said it was quite bland.
Pretty disappointing considering how busy they are, might have been just unlucky.

First time coming here, had the best time time of my life! Maddy, Jack and Tristan treated me like a king. Thanks guys you made my night, will be definitely coming back.xo

First time dining here and it did not fail to impress. The food were simply amazing and delicious where they looked fresh and appealing. Customer service here is fantastic from the time we were waiting to be seated till the time the food was served. Venue was clean and bright plus location was excellent just across from Village Cinemas. Could not ask for more as my wife, kids and I were all very pleased with the dining experience.
