Ten Minutes by Tractor reviews
71 Never been one for degustation type dining. 1st visit last year.we were invited and it was brilliant. 2nd visit (Sat evening past), we invited some friends and once again it was simply outstanding. We look forward to returning and I know our guests will be telling others.
For what it is worth.a shout out to the German waitress looking after us that evening. Not stuffy and always smiling.
TMBT always satisfies with its unique culinary experience and wide range of local and international wines. It’s a special couple of hours we cherish every time we visit.
There are no words to describe how amazing the food and people were. Every meal was a work of art and every person involved were just so kind and friendly. You could just taste the freshness in the food and the passion behind it. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my husbands 40th a wonderful experience and one to remember. The little surprise chocolates, candle, and signed card to end was such a lovely gesture.
When i think of the best restaurant I think of Tractor. Dined for lunch last year for my birthday and it is still the best restaurant I've had the pleasure to experience.
Allis Wine Bar
Never felt so ripped off by ordering “Allow us” $65 for 100g of protein the rest was bread and tiny bit of veg.
Left so disappointed!
Forget your fine dinning and this wine bar snack menu, bring back the bistro. That’s what people loved!
We had a fabulous time at your beautiful restaurant. The food was sublime, great atmosphere as we have now come to expect (whether we are dining there or enjoying a wine tasting experience) and the service was fantastic! Kobi who served us on the day and who talked us through the numerous creations that Hayden and his Team had so cleverly crafted was very professional, yet down to earth and friendly, Judith who stepped in from time to time to ensure that our wine and water glasses were always full was also delightful. Overall, Georgie and I had a great time on her Birthday so thanks very much to Martin, Karen and the Ten Minutes by Tractor Team for making this a memorable occasion!
Perfect foodie experience. Great 5 course lunch. Food was so thoughtfully crafted and presented with elegance (even the dessert). It's surely on the list now!
Loved the cellar door's new food offering. I'll be back for more crumpets. The crab roll chardonnay combo is a winner, great recommendation. Thanks
An absolute culinary delight and wonderful experience, never fails to deliver. The staff are extraordinary, the food melts in your mouth bursting with flavour and the atmosphere is exquisite.
We had an amazing dining experience. The setting was perfect, good ambience/lighting/music. Interior was interesting and inviting. No pretentious vibes here! Staff were all lovely. The food was outstanding. We visited for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations (which were high). Dietries were catered for with ease, and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything that my gluten eating partner had. All the staff signed a card wishing us a happy anniversary which we were blown away by. We left wiyh full bellies and big smiles. Can't wait to visit again.
An enjoyable experience with some extremely delicious bites, and some quite eh bites.
We came here on the Easter Monday, and enjoyed their 5 course menu and the marron, based off the waiter’s absolute recommendation.
In essence, most of the dishes were respectable. The flavours were well balanced, ingredients cooked to perfection. Harry’s mussels from flinders were absolutely perfect and I could eat a bucket of it (and I don’t even like mussels).
Now for the Marron, which were 90 dollar addition per plate, it was arguably the worst dish of the whole experience. The marron was under seasoned, although tender it was borderline undercooked and translucent. I guess they treaded the line extremely carefully in the kitchen! Alas, it was absolutely not worth 90 dollars for about 100grams (if that) of marron.
An otherwise enjoyable fine dining experience.
Had a lovely (hideously expensive) dinner with my partner last night. I had the pescatarian menu and him the normal. We did 5 courses. Lovely service, especially by Corey & Marion. Food was lovely overall (although I wasn’t mind blown) but I definitely take a star away for how long it took. We were told 5 courses is around 2.5 hours, however we arrived at 7pm and left at 11pm. An extremely long experience and far too long in between courses. I was so tired and bored by the end of it. The couple next to us got chocolates at the end as a thanks which there was no sign of for us (our bill was significantly higher too), I wonder why so?
I’d recommend based on food and service but not on overall experience and time.
My husband and I booked for Easter Monday lunch at $200 per head plus drinks and additional dishes offered. We expected fine dining with delectable, flavoursome dishes. We have been dining out for more than 50 years, but never had an experience like this one! A few small dishes of dull food surrounded by a load of crass decorations, including food mouthfuls sitting on a bowl of seeds which we dipped the bread and butter in, only to be told that they were not to be eaten, but they wouldn’t harm us! Next up, a mouthful of something on a bowl of packet corn ready for popping. A non-alcoholic dink of 100mls in the largest wine glass! Soft drink!?
For the first time ever, we asked for our bill and left.
Staff looked stunned and were aloof and arrogant. They did say we didn’t need to pay for the morsels we consumed.
The biggest rip off ever! We’ll make sure we spread our experience, to save incredible disappointment and a huge money outlay.
Be wary of the unforgiving and inflexible cancellation policy. No doubt would have been a wonderful experience but won't be paying twice for the experience
Kitchen service was far too slow. 4.5 hours for a set menu with each meal taking 30 seconds to eat not a great experience, do not visit, save your money. Although the floor staff were good & extremely experienced at trying to keep customers happy, it simply couldn’t save this review rating.
We had the 5 course set menu for 175 dollars each. The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. The sommelier wasn't completely across the winelist and tried to serve a different wine to one we ordered and what we ordered. When we proved her wrong, she said things keep on changing here. It was their on wineyard wine from 2021 vintage. The server assigned assigned to us was very patronizing and more interested in telling us about this life specially the fact that he lives in Brighton East than than serving the actual food. He didn't bother explaining the menu to us and half of the time we weren't sure what were we eating. After we had finished eating and were presented the bill that had additional wine glasses added which we didn't order. When we pointed it out to the server he acted as if we were being cheap by querying the bill and said it's not the end of the world. We never had to correct a bill in our whole life. This is not expected from a top notch restaurant like this
We recently went to their cellar door for wine tasting and cheeseboard. Booked in, but when we arrived we were left standing without a greeting or acknowledgement that we were there. We decided to just have some wine and cheeseboard in their courtyard. Paid $70 for two “platters” between 4 people. To say they were stingy with their cheese is an understatement. It had 3 of the tiniest slivers of cheese, with 2 teaspoons of paste. We all had a glass of Blanc de Blanc, it was ok, but for $19 a glass I was expecting something better than what tasted like a cheap sparkling from BWS. Their restaurant might be ok, the buildings are lovely, but there’s zero atmosphere at their cellar door, and with the ridiculous prices it’s hardly surprising there was nobody there on a busy Sunday in January.
Delightful tasting experience with Oscar. He is a credit to the winery and venue. Knowledgeable, charismatic, and attentive. Wine was on point, delicious and we were pleasantly suprised of the beautiful tastes and quality! Highly recommend a visit
We have been here a few times and are always so happy with the experience. We popped in last Monday for a wine tasting and were treated with amazing service. The gentleman who did our tasting even offered to help up organise a lunch booking at a near by venue as we were struggling to get in
We had the 5 course ($175 pp) and it was excellent. Just be ready for a long meal. 5 course was more than enough to fill bellies because the 4 varieties of canapés is not shown in menu. Top notch food matched with excellent service.
