Tasty House reviews
48We love the newly renovated space. Menu selection is not as extensive as others, however the dishes were well presented and very tasty. Good selection of live seafood and price is reasonable. Great place to celebrate birthdays here as they will put on their singing voice and give you a generous Happy Birthday song performance.
Food here is indeed good. Service ok. But the noise you get as you dine us very disturbing. Maybe the walls need insulation?
Super nice service with lovely waiters offering help to crack your crab!
New renovation makes the dining area feel really chic too!:)
We left the restaurant feeling happy and having yummy in our tummy!
Great portion of food and good service. Love their retro fit interior design! Taste is above average especially their fried rice. Roast pork is a bit dry but overall taste good. Worth a try!
The new crispy mushroom belly in golden soup is delicious! ! ! Looking forward to other new products to eat next time
Love the new renovation, bright and relaxing.
Food is always good especially the rice dishes.
Price is around $20 each person.
Staff are friendly.
I can’t honestly hand on heart say that the food here is phenomenal. As a local, it’s quite convenient to dine here. The signature fried rice is quite nice (interesting addition of pork ribs to a fried rice dish) and the roast duck was not bad.
What is great here though is the ambience (the renovations make it a much more comfortable restaurant for group dinners). We also appreciate the attentive service and kind wait staff - almost a rarity in Asian restaurants! Reservations are recommended via phone if you don’t want to risk waiting during busy weekend dinner slots. There’s a weekend surcharge and it’s not super pricey (probably expect around $20-30 pp if you don’t order seafood).
WE TRY THE BANQUET MENU FOR FOUR, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS SO WAS THE MUD CRAB AS IT WAS SO FRESH THAT YOU CAN TASTE THE FRESHNESS N SWEETNESS OF THE CRAB MEAT, SERVICE WAS GOOD SO WAS THE FRIENDLY NESS OF THE STAFFS AND THE OWNERSI would recommend those with family of four to six to try the banquet menu as the price is really reasonable, Restaurant is bright and clean
Ok la for a Canto place owned by a Malaysian i heard at Forest Hill
Overall rating 4/10
I find this restaurant extremely poor in customer service and bad cooking. I ordered a mapo tofu rice and it was very salty, so I politely explained to the waiter & owner. They rudely refuse and not willing to change it to other dish I asked for. A bad experience for me. I suggest other patrons NOT to visit this restaurant.
Yummy crab done 2 ways, ginger/ scallion and salted egg yolk. Other dishes included bbq pork and duck which I found just normal fare at Chinese restaurant.
An absolutely amazing little place with a big menu of fresh items.
Really quick kitchen service and lovely staff.
Our lunch of Roast Pork w/ Tofu and Roast Duck w/ Roast Pork were good value with tasty meats and large portions (rice eaters rejoice). Their roasts seemed very popular with diners and the restaurant filled up quickly too (always reassuring). This place seems to tick all the boxes for a reasonable meal if one is in the neighbourhood
Tasty dishes though a bit pricey. We waited a while for the meal but the service was courteous and friendly.
Ordered takeaway on the weekend and it was ready exactly at the pickup time despite the restaurant being busy. Food was fresh and tasted good.
You know when the colour of the BBQ pork is like this.it’s going to definitely taste good! I recommend
Heard about the wok hei so we tried the beef fried noodles. Lots of wok hei and really enjoyed the dish. We also had the fried flounder which was fresh and perfectly fried. Had a generous serve of pipis. Simply delicious
They're now takeaway only. Not sure how long this will be for.

Some dishes are good & value for money, however some dishes are much smaller serves than other restaurants
Tonight I take away fish head noodles, sweet & sour pork and salted fish chicken mince tofu. Sweet & sour pork is pretty good, but another 2 dishes are tasteless. Not sure why the standard has dropped so badly. I don't think I will go back again.
