Taste of Taj Sweets and Indian Cuisine reviews
86Worse, sat here for 2 hrs and still not sure where my order is. The team forgot to enter my order and kept saying to wait for 5 mins but nothing came. Worse experience. Don't come where wait time and staff both messed up. If willing to wait for 1 - 2 hrs just 1 item. The staff came to take order without a book and couldn't memorise. Avoid
My go to place when I am in clayton for devouring Amritsari Kulcha and Chole Bhature. This place serves really tasty indian food.
Very bad food, will not recommend this place to anyone. Bought Jalebi, gulab Jamun and kala Jamun from this place yesterday but the quality was worst. Being a chef I could understand that the oil used for frying the jalebi and gulab Jamun was stale. The gulab Jamun was smelling of stale oil so had to throw it. After eating the jalebi we all felt sick. Very bad quality, disappointing.
Yummy food and delicious sweets. Whenever I took my Chinese and Thai friends, I get extra food.
We used to be regulars at Taste of Taj Clayton, until 2 years ago when we moved to another suburb. The taste used to be unique. We went back to them recently, with a few nostalgic memories of the tasty lunch that we had before. But, unfortunately we were very disappointed to see that they had given up the distinctive taste of their special dishes, that used to attract a lot of people. The number of people were very limited compared to that they had before. The portions were too inadequate, however they seemed to charge less for it. I am sorry to say negative remarks about a business, but those are the hard facts. They could make massive changes and improvements in their business if they get their old taste back, their strongest point being the prime location (near to rail station and Monash Hospital).
Just friendly. I had something to eat late at night. Lucky these guys were open before my long trip back home by public transport.
Good vibe by who I’m assuming was the manager
Absolutely delicious food. Would recommend here for a family dinner. The Kashmiri naan was amazing!
Awesome place to get indian dishes. I've been ordering from here for past 2 years. Food quality is good and healthy. Feels like home.
Very tasty meal even if a little light on the meat but sauce outstanding. Had lunch special, ithink instead of drink and add a bread would completely be a better addition. The water was nice but room temp not great
Girl at front counter seems not interested in taking food orders and what's a point of providing contact number for orders when you guys never pick call lol, 3rd time in a row same week I tried placing take away order on phone, kept ringing until voicemail but no answer.food taste alright but very bad customer service.
Have only ordered sweets from here (ladoos, gulab jamun, jalebis and samosa) and loved each of the items.
I don’t understand why peaole even go there. Yukky food, very rude people at the corner specially the owner. Very very poor customer service.
I think they are using expired stuff, pickle smelled off,
Chick pee curry with no chick peas, full of water. Never going back to this place again
Such a pathetic customer service, the girl at the counter and owner both are so rude. Tea was disgusting, all the tea leaves were in the takeway cup, they didn't even strain it properly.
Panner do paza is must try food. Sweets are okay and aloo tikki is good. Overall a must visit place for paneer do paza and butter naan.
So I zoom over to Clayton in the car, for lunch, arrive 1150. Get a park outside, feeling pretty lucky.
I see the lunch special promoted, yep, that will do nicely.
I go to order, and was told, sorry sir we have no rice nor naan…. I ask them if they are closed, the reply was we are open.
This a like a pub with no beers, absolutely useless…
Worst Indian restaurant/sweet shop in Clayton.very bad customer service. They think they’re serving food for free. Worst experience and never ever want to go back here.
Nice Indian curries and sweets.
My personal favourite is tava chicken and Kadhai paneer is a must try as well.
Kaju katli in sweets.
The best place in my eyes. Having food from this place from how many years I even didn’t remember. Excellent service friendly staff perfect cooked food no complaints highly recommended thanks Taj team for you services
Just found a human hair inside the dosa, vomited the whole way thinking of that.
Tried first time but no hygiene in this place. I reccomend not to try here. If you wanna taste human hair (maybe genital hair), please feel free to go there. Have photo of it as well. Disgusting
