Tasman Butchers Oakleigh reviews
35 Been buying meats from Tasman for a while now. Generally the cuts are good and the value is good. The selection of other meats are decent and never had an issue there. I felt compelled to write a review after a particular incident with pre made beef burger patties. Usually I make these myself using lean mince etc but decided to be lazy and buy some.
I was absolutely blown away by how much oil can fit inside a patty, and how they can quite literally shrink before your eyes. Insanely oily, bent a spatula extracting as much as I could and still was overwhelmed with oil. They then shrunk to 1/3rd their original size requiring two patties per small brioche bun. Maybe fix that recipe up, probably won’t buy pre-prepared patties like that ever again.
Service was good and with a smile otherwise.
Today i am disappointed, the staff has always been willing to helpout, but who's picking up the phone on Saturday she's refused to help me plus she's hanging up the phone on me I am long time customer, sadly.
I met something funny today. The kitchen staff has always been willing to help cut the trotters into smaller pieces. However, today, they refused to do so, citing the sale of trotters. What's the connection between the sale and cutting them into smaller pieces? It’s just doesn’t make sense. If they truly care about efficiency and customer service, they should have cut them into smaller pieces before packaging. Please note that not everyone has tools back home to do it. Moreover, the time they spent explaining could have been used to assist in cutting them into smaller pieces. They’ve just become lazy.
The staff are very helpful and funny and its very nice to shop here. Dogs bones great price
The meat quality is poor you can get better quality from supermarkets
Spent 200 dollars worth of meat
The lamb and beef was tough
Provides a great choice of quality meats in a clean spacious store. I trust the brand because I have been shopping here for over 5 years. The friendly Butcher’s are always on hand to lend advice or cut the meat or chicken as requested.
I mainly go there for dog bones and the bone is bigger than my dog however the staff always happy to cut it in smaller pieces, I have also shopped for myself and each product is great quality and plenty of options however the potato cakes are my favourite,
Went here on a Sat arvo, very quiet and great customer service. Great prices and good sized cuts of meat. We love these butcher's.
Plenty of parking available, sanitizer on the way in, pre packaged beef, pork, lamb & chicken at competitive prices!
Also available a selection of Frozen Foods, jars of sauces, fresh eggs, fresh bread and lot's more.
I have no hesitation in recommending Tasman Butchers in Oakleigh.
In the past Tasman meats had reasonable quality meat. Not any more. The last 4 weeks purchased lamb shanks they were chewy and tiny.
Beef rump was thinly sliced 2 pieces $29.00. Beef veal piece of meat to roast we roasted had to throw it out it was white in colour and chewy and had a funny taste. Lamb chops so thinly sliced hardly any meat. We won't be going back and l used to buy bulk so spent alot of money there. No thanks not anymore. Disgraceful really.
Tasman has a great range of meats, some vacuum sealed small goods, pasta, herbs, cheese and frozen goods. They have improved the quality of the meats, at one stage l feel that was a letting them down. Prices are better than supermarkets and the weekly specials are great.
I absolutely love Tasman Butchers Oakleigh
They have the best wide range selection of meat that I've ever seen at any one single butcher place, the staff are extremely helpful and always willing to do anything they can to help, the prices are really good value as well, I would definitely highly recommend Tasman Butchers Oakleigh to absolutely anyone needing anything meat as Tasmans have a lot of things you don't see in most places.
Very efficient, cheerful and prompt service. Meat is fresh and I get to buy my favourite goat meat here!
Good quality at a competitive price, and plenty of different options. Store staff are friendly and helpful also. The Use By dates are longer than at the supermarket, which says a lot about the freshness - the butchers are out the back cutting it up in front of you.
Like most Tasman Butchers, plenty of parking and a spacious store with a great range of fresh meat. Beef, Lamb, Pork and Poultry. Some Deli items, hams, sauces and cheeses as well. We shop at Tasmans regularly and the meat has always been top quality at a reasonable price. Only rarely will the supermarket have equivalent quality at a cheaper price. The friendly butchers are there all the time as well, so if you need a special cut or more of something they have always been happy to help.
Wes is personable and has exceptional customer service skills. Nothing is ever too much and I feel that Wes always goes out of his way to make sure that we can get the right cut of meat and also at the right price. We love going into Tasmans to do our weekly meat shop.it is much better than Wollies or Coles.
Thanks Wes and the team for always making our Tasman shop a positive customer experience!
Went into store not certain what I was after. Wes advised me to go for a boneless lamb which he prepared quickly and gave me tips on how to cook it. The roast was magnificent and the Anniversary dinner was a great success with many compliments about the great roast.thanks Wes helped an amateur cook pull off a miracle.cheers.
Wide range selection of fresh meats, as well as a great range of raw pet meats.
Customer service was good and the store was very clean, meeting all covid requirements to keep customers safe.
Don't bother with this store! Rude staff, no customer service and they didn't even have lamb cutlets for fathers day BBQ
CV-19 processes in place with a hand sanitizer with a moisturiser in it supplied on entry & exit!
