Quaint, comfort, youthful casual french dining experience you won’t find elsewhere in this part of Melbourne.
Front of house team are friendly whilst also giving you the feeling of being a familiar face who’s welcome anytime.
Express lunch menu at $35 is of great value, Salmon Tartare is the perfect light midweek lunch, choice of local and afar glass of wine and a French bite sized citrus classic to end on.

Tapenade is a family and we’re very happy to be part of it. Kevin & Laurie will welcome you so warmly that you will just want to come back. Not to mention all the staff (Victor, Camille, Vanessa etc) always perfectly looking after their customers. The food menu makes us travel in our loved south of France, each dish is made with love and passion. We love going there for our coffee in the morning just as the « apéro » at the end of the day with a great happy hour formule!
This cafe is a breath of fresh air for the local area. The food is authentically French and delicious, however the service is the absolute highlight. It is so lovely being so warmly welcomed each time we return.

Just popped in here to grab a few takeaway croissants this morning. The staff were wonderfully attentive and the croissant delicious. We are returning for lunch this arvo and we cant wait to experience the menu, wine and beer. 1664 on tap too.
If you are looking for a place where quality, taste, and excellent service are more important than a mile-long menu, this is it!
