Tantra Indian Restaurant reviews
86 Ordered at 530pm to pick up at 630pm.
Standing there waited till 710pm.
You are warned! Never come back again!
Food not that great and too much delay in service. Place order for take away reached after 25 min still it took 35 min to complete the order. Try to avoid. Surely not worth to pay such a high price.
Love this place, the food was delicious and came out quickly despite it being reasonably busy. My fiancé is half Indian and said the food was authentic and quality. Servings were massive which was awesome! Place was clean and staff were so lovely as well! I will definitely be back and I’ll be bringing more people
I went this restaurant many times, the food always was delicious and friendly staff; Highly recommended
Long long wait for food. Would preferred to have a more realistic delay time. Butter chicken and accompaniments great as usual
Front line Service is very poor. Lady who works in customer service is poor in service. Feels like they don't care about customers. Food taste is better.
This gets bookmarked as one of my favourite Indian restaurant. You will be amazed with taste, food quality and quantity. Simply superb!
I always order take away from here. Every time they deliver it I think they have got my order mixed up because they alway include extra sides I didn’t pay for! Food is always delicious. Fast delivery. Extremely generous people
Unfortunately there is no option to give below one star: - (
Worst experience and awful food.
Price was double the usual price you find at a fine dining Indian restaurant.
We were charged for a dish which never showed up on the table.
Waitress was not professional at all.
During the main table was short of cutlery and no cutlery was provided.
I would rather go to a street food type restaurant and pay 3 times less and get fully authentic Indian food.
We will never visit this restaurant again.
One of the best indian restaurants in Melbourne!
great people with awesome food and service.
They always add some extras in the order:)
Very fresh and delicious food, the tastiest Indian food I ate in Melbourne. Very generous portions and we also received two extra portions of rice, extra garlic naan and a dessert - all free of charge. Thank you!
Beautiful flavours and very wholesome comfort food. The menu is extensive and moderately expensive but servings were plentiful. Soft drinks were way too expensive at $5/6 per glass.no excuse for that. Service was prompt and friendly. Were willing to seat us despite arriving at around 8.30pm. Great atmosphere and extremely busy restaurant. Medium heat for us on this occasion but to be honest it was relatively mild.
Went here after hearing about this place for such a long time. Now I wonder why I didn't go earlier. Small and intimate restaurant. Lighting is perfect. Atmosphere is relaxed and welcome. The food is so so so so so yummy. I asked them for really hot and they made it really hot! So nice to eat Indian food that has been watered down to Australian tastes. I will be back for some more vindaloo and naan.
Terrible food. First time and last time because we forgot to book our normal Indian restaurant. I’ve better food at Indian take away places.
I travel a lot, but this place was too exorbitant! And the taste of chilli chicken was horrible and too sweet. Dal was ok, but it was too spicy initially (asked for medium spice level), then eventually replaced by much more bland version of the same. Please remember A decent SMILE is also a part of customer service.
I would recommend a straight NO for this place.
Gd food, but rubbish services and they do Not how to talk with their customer and manner less services
The food was satisfactory nothing exceptional. Not sure about value for money. The same food can be obtained from similar Indian restaurants at a lessor cost. The waitress was very unfriendly and did not care much about the customers.
We were 4 families camping at crystal Brook park, we made an order for dinner for 18 people (kids and adults). Tantra knew we might not be returning customers as we were just camping however they made an effort of giving us lot of free stuff along with our order.also not to mention they food quality was 5 star
A secret little hidden gem right here in Doncaster East. The most delicious Indian flavors with a unique menu. The sign on the front says they're the most popular Indian restaurant on menulog and I can certainly see why. My pumpkin masala came out in an actual pumpkin
Exceptionally good service. We ordered 2 mains and 4 naans thru Uber eats. Upon delivery, we at first thought we have been sent wrong order since there were items we didn't order. Thus I called up Tantra to tell it seems they've confused our order with another one but was shocked to hear that all those extra items were complimentary that included Samosas, Rice, Raita and Gulab-jamuns. So basically 3 course meal delivered for an order of mains only and the food tasted well. Impressed!
