Love Talking Hens. We would normally go in to the store so we can browse, as there is always a little something extra that 'falls in the basket' and the guys know so much we always come away with a new learning to the benefit of our little flock. Sadly with lockdown we had to order our hemp bedding online. Love the product - not wanting to talk too soon, but we do seem to have kept the mites at bay so far, and sure this helps. It also turned up next day, so great delivery too. Strongly recommend.

If you buy their special high powered chook food mix, every chicken will lay an egg everyday. Well that's my experience. The chickens love it. They turn their beaks up at the golden yolk.

Love my 3 new Chooks, The Soda Sisters, Pepper, Penny and Polly, they absolutely beautiful, they have a lovely nature, are so friendly, healthy and are soft and silky to touch and have such shiny and glossy feathers.
They started laying eggs straight away, I feed them the Gourmet Blend Chicken Feed and the eggs yolks are golden and delicious.

If you are thinking of backyard chooks then this is the place! The chooks are super friendly, healthy, lay straight away and produce super tasty eggs. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and encouraging. They give you all the info you need to get started and if you bring kids along they get them involved and excited. Its worth making a little trip to come here for your chooks, its a fun experience and a beautiful part of Victoria to visit. Love these guys!

Talking Hens is fantastic, Jason is professional and polite, we purchased two pullets (young hens) a few months ago and they have been a fantastic addition to the family. On collection Jason covered any concerns and questions, we have also been emailing him about hen behaviour and each email is replied to quickly and with very helpful information. If you are considering backyard chickens, I would highly recommend Talking Hens. I drove 2.5 hours to collect my chickens and would happily do it again if we decided to increase our numbers. Also great egg layers.

Got 2 very healthy looking Hylines from here, shopfront is really tidy and nicely laid out with a lot of great product.

I first spoke to Jason and the gang about children friendly chickens that also lay good numbers. I was assured great loving pets backed up with a guarantee of great laying. We bought 4 chickens in December and they haven't missed a beat with 4 eggs per day. My two kids (2 & 4) sit on our grass and all 4 chickens come for a cuddle and pat. Thanks for the open day today too, kids had a ball.

You should stop by their beautiful barn when visiting the Mornington Peninsula which stocks all the high quality chicken coop accessories, feed and supplements you need to keep your chooks happy and healthy.

Really good hens, Come back twice. I bought 15 from here and can get around 8 eggs per day, enough for my family
