Just had the best experience at Tahbilk Cellar Door with Michael who was very knowledgeable and guided us through a fantastic tasting. We subsequently joined the wine club and purchased a range of wines. Thoroughly recommend a visit to the beautiful vineyard and a tasting with Michael.

Enjoyed the wine tasting, loved the Grand Tawny port. Ended up buying the Very Rare Tawny port as a treat to ourselves.

Beautiful winery! Was lovely sitting out on the deck enjoy a tasting. Wines were all divine, and the lady who served our tastings was lovely (forgot her name, apologies!) Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to visit. Fascinating historical winery. Staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. Wine tasting (free) was a lovely experience, with knowledgeable staff and no pressure at all to buy! We will certainly be taking our overseas visitors (when we are allowed to have them again) to share this lovely part of Australia.

Very disappointed Tahbilk, the only business I know of asking vaccination status when buying takeaway coffee's. Won't be going there again nor recommending them.

My partner and I popped in for some wine tasting and were lucky to have been greeted at the door by the lovely Lynn! She was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the land and all the wines.
We had so many laughs during our tasting. May have even got Lynn to snort with laughter.
We were humbled when she labled us the "funniest couple of the day"
Thanks for the fun arvo.

I'm a semi regular at Tahbilk, each time I'm up this way I head into the cellar door and get a couple of mixed dozen from the members list. I highly recommend and although I haven't been to the restaurant for a fair few years, it was great last time I was there.

Very friendly and informative tasting experience. And it's free. Which led us to purchase 15 bottles. Beautiful historic grounds and buildings. You are able to walk through the underground cellar.
A must to visit, if you are in the Nagambie region.

Went there via river (Rent the tinnie boat from Nagambie Lake). Amazing winery with 5 generation of ownership and still going on. Wine tasting is free as long as you make the purchase. The price is moderate and the taste is great. Definitely will come back again.

A wonderful place to wine and dine if you are in the area of Seymour. Check the agricultural machinery exhibition if you have an Inner nerd

Fabulous experience! Wine tasting overlooking the Goulburn river in a beautiful old cellar! Staff were super friendly, like old friends showing you the best of their home.
And the reds.big, bold and smooth!
I'll definitely be back.

This was our first visit to Tahbilk and we had an outstanding wine tasting and dining experience. Our wine tasting was scheduled an hour prior to the lunch booking. We arrived on time and were given one of the outdoor tasting tables overlooking the Goulburn River. Lyn took us through a tasting of all the scheduled wines plus some extras reflecting our particular interests. There is a good range of wines. Lyn was very informative and helpful. We finished with just sufficient time to walk across to the restaurant. I particularly like the Museum Release Marsanne, the Marsanne blend and the Verdelho. Amongst the reds, I particularly liked the Museum Release Cav Sav and the Old Vines Cab Shiraz. We left with a box of wines. The lunch was excellent. Service was very timely, friendly and helpful. We loved the slow cooked lamb and the barramundi. Our table was outside with a beautiful view of the lagoon. We will definitely be back.

Went here on a weekend away. Michael was really lovely and helpful. He is obviously very passionate about his job. Visiting the cellars was a highlight as suggested by Michael

We did the ‘Art of Winemaking- Blending Course’ today. Absolutely fantastic personalised experience held in the beautiful original church/museum. Holly guided us through how to taste and identify BLIC (Balance, Length, Intensity, Complexity) and then we blended our own Shiraz Cabernet using Oaked and Un-Oaked combinations to land on the perfect blend. We then had a little fun judging session and bottled, capped and labelled our own bottles.
Holly was a sensational host and kept it light and fun but informative. An incredible experience and winery and enjoyed hearing about the history as much as blending the wine. Definitely also explore the underground cellars while you’re there. A great experience and well worth the $90 a head. The restaurant and eco trail walk also exceptional with food and views you won’t soon forget. We will be back.

One of the best experiences we have ever had, booked the VIP tour with wine blending, honestly words can't describe how great the day was.
From your wine ambassador explaining in detail the history of the winery (actually very fascinating), then onto the wine blending where you customize red wine and have it professionally bottled with a label, then onto the lunch package eating in an amazing restaurant with 5 star food overlooking the river, to the boat ride on the river, and finally the wine sampling.

Seriously can't recommend Tahbilk highly enough, we will 100% return here.

We were lucky to be gifted a 'winery experience' for my husband's 60th birthday and finally managed to get to Tahbilk, it was definitley worth the wait. From the moment our day began, we were treated as both honored guests and old friends. Met by Michael for tour of the lovely old buildings, we learnt of the history of Tahbilk and the efforts being made to protect and preserve the environment. Michael was both knowledgable and friendly and we also toured the cellars and some behind the scenes areas to get a real understanding of how the quality wines produced here are made. Michael handed us over the to care of Tim who introduced us to the challenges of blending a red wine: patiently he helped us taste, measure and mix our own 'special blend' a daunting but fun experience giving us a new appreciation for the skill involved! After a delicious gourment lunch, matched with wines from the Tahbilk collection in the restauraunt overlooking the Goulbourn river, we walked off our excesses with Tim as our guide on the eco-walk. Tim answered our questions, expanding on the great initiatives Tahbilk are employing to rehabilitate the wetlands. All in all, it was a wonderful day, we were greeted warmly, all who assisted us were professional and courteous and I could not recommend this experience more highly. Thank you Michael and Tim in particular!

Right now it is a really good idea to make a reservation due to restrictions, as space is limited and it is very busy. The tasting selection is limited to 3 whites and 4 reds, and they are really worthwile tasters. Bookings are needed for the restaurant as well as it is also very popular. Plan ahead and you will have a very enjoyable experience.
