Swinburne University Health Service reviews
32The Nurses team, doctor, receptionist are kind and very nice. They're also friendly with toddler. 5 star review are well deserved.
Staff at Reception were fantastic - great customer service, helpful, friendly with a smiling face. The quality of great service has always been consistent. Dr Hilmy is a fantastic GP - able to ask him any question in relation to my health and he explains with respect and also clearly. No medical jargon. Highly recommend the service to staff and students and the community.
I have to wait for 45 mins before I come back to the receptionist and asking why am I not get called yet.
Spoke to Duncan registered nurse who listened to my issues, explained with great detail how sessions work, plans etc. Felt very comfortable, great listener, gave me confidence, praised me and organised Tele counselling appointment with Isabel.
Everyone has something happening in their life especially with strict covid lockdown puts extra strain.
I thank Duncan for his excellent service and patience.
Highly recommend. They assisted me at such short notice easing my concerns and stress levels. Liz was prompt, caring and extremely professional. Thank you so much for assisting me with my needs.
New video-conerencing worked well. Just one suggestion: I'd like to have a choice to open the link on my PC via an email, rather than only through text on my phone. It DID work on the PC but I had to type the lengthy address in.
Friendly staff and doctor. They are not only professional and also help to solve my general questions.
Says free vaccine (flu) and when you go for it they make you pay. I would have rather done it somewhere else in 10$ rather than waiting for appointment for weeks and going to do it only to pay 38$? And no its not for vaccine, it's for doctors time for you, like what time? Time to ask my name, address and DOB? Wasn't that done in reception already? Such a lie, going to put this info in all the students group so that no one goes there for vaccine:/
Even though I graduated last year I still come here when I need a GP. My experience in the last 3 years were absolutely great. Drs, nurses, counseling and staff members will go out of their way just to help you out!:)
Also, big THANK YOU to Melanie for helping me with the chemist yesterday!
Absolutely satisfied with the facilities available at this health centre. With highly experienced doctors and nurses, this is the best clinic to visit in and around hawthorn area.
There was a good team of experienced GPs (such as Dr. Jane Heath) associated with this clinic about six months ago. A majority of them are not working here anymore. As far as I can see, there is a friendly staff in the reception and laboratory but quality of GPs have drastically gone down. For instance, a particular lady GP could not make a referral to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and she wasn’t aware of the right procedure. This happened conservatively for three times and I decided to go ahead with another GP. I have many recent experiences that evidently prove the incapability of GPs. I strongly believe that the administration of this clinic should take necessary steps to employ GPs of better quality for the betterment of Swinburne community!
Dr Chitra was very rude, mean and handled my case very unprofessionally. She could not provide me with a diagnosis, refused to give me a prescription, despite me saying I was in pain. She wouldn't listen to me when i tried to tell her my symptoms. I don't think she should be allowed to be a GP because doctors are meant to help not stress you out even further.
