Swimwear Galore

Very disappointing customer service. I recently returned an item to this store that l had purchased just before Christmas. Unfortunately the security tag had been left on. Whilst returning the item to the store to have the tag removed, l was interrogated and made to feel like a criminal.l did not have the receipt and had paid cash- l gave the sales assistant the date of my purchase so she could find the sale in their system but this seemed to be too much of a task for her. There was no apology for any inconvenience that had been caused by them and the item was shoved back across the counter at me. I have shopped at this store over many years because of the quality of their swimwear, sadly the quality of their customer service is not as good.

A million and one staff and not one person asked us if we needed help, unfortunately there were 5 chatting at the back and three at the register.

I went in to buy a gift and witnessed a blonde worker with an American accent make an elder lady cry after tearing into her, don’t know how people like this can work in customer service.

Best service as always. Great range to choose from and staff are fantabulous in helping you decide. Never shop anywhere else for bathers

Just been into Swimwear Galore. The place looked like a jumble sale at St Vinnies. I wanted chlorine resistant in a modern style (with a bra cup), hardly anything! Tons of beachwear, no wonder the ladies at the pool are wearing absolute rubbish & all black! Please! Give us something decent & we're not all size 22 plus!

Wow. Really, really happy. Mentone store. Huge range of colourful one piece bathers for women with large busts. Best range I've ever seen. I'm a 12 to 14 in size but with a huge bust and usually unable to find bathers that fit my bust size. I was spoiled for choice and bought a lot. Usually I'm stuck with one black pair that don't fit properly, so I'm over the moon. The assistants were all extremely helpful and friendly and pleasant. 5 stars for bathers, 5 stars for service. Highly recommend.

My sales assistant was Madison who was terrific. I explained to her what I wanted, estimated size and colours and she found me some styles. One I didn’t expect to like was the winner.suggested by Madison as it gave me more support ‘everywhere’ Thank you Madison for making my visit easy as shopping for swimwear is not not a highlight for me!

They have an amazing range of swim wear. The female staff were helpful with selecting suitable bathers asking what I liked. Asking if I was happy with my selecting. They were friendly but professional. Not intrusive. I highly recommend this store for buying a swim suit and accessories.

Extremely disappointed with Mentone Swimwear Galore store. I visited this store this morning and not once did I feel welcome nor did I have any interaction with the 2 staff members. I am a bigger sized woman and was looking for swimwear and got no help whatsoever. Lost out on a sale.

Came in last week to grab some board shorts quickly before the beach. Your website was showing the size I needed in stock. When asking one of your team members who was busy hanging up clothes near the change rooms if she could check if there were more sizes, I was told that whatever is out on the rack is it.

This isn’t the first time I have faced your lazy staff. They are never to be found when assistance is needed and have zero customer service skill. Perhaps start increasing the age group of the workforce you’re hiring because the young ladies you’re hiring lack any experience whatsoever.

Great range for all body types and assistants were very helpful - was not hopeful of getting any bathers and walked out with 2 pairs!

Very rude and unhelpful girls in the store. Answers with just one words and wouldn’t move from the spot. Would not recommend the store at all.

No assistance in store - young staff just standing around not knowing what to do. I had to get my daughter to get sizes for me. The swimsuit i wanted had a small fibre fray in it. I was advised by the manager that they would apply a discount (as no other suits available instore), i was charged the full amount still.

I am beyond disgusted with what happened today at the Mentone store. I came in to exchange a bather top for a larger size. I was told it was $5 more because I require a size 16 not a 14. A typical Australian women’s size now ranges from a size 12/14 so it’s absurd that you have to pay more for” bigger sizes” especially when Swimwear Galore’s slogan is “ swimwear for every body”. I personally do not feel paying technically a fat tax is inclusive.

What made it worse was the extra cost wasn’t because of the “ bigger size” it was because I got a discount online. Isabelle replied “no it’s because it’s a bigger size, I don’t make the pricing rules I’m sorry”. We all know how anxiety provoking it can be shopping for swimwear so when a comment like that was said without it even being the case it honestly makes it worse.

I am absolutely appalled after this and feel you need to train your staff in knowing the products as well as certain policies so comments like these which aren’t needed don’t continue to ruin people’s self esteem and shopping experience. I will never shop at Swimwear again and I know speaking to others they feel the same.

As we are aware all bodies aren’t the same. As a woman in 2022 we should be uplifting others rather than making people feel worse about themselves especially during potentially vulnerable experiences. If Swimwear doesn’t share the same values and inclusivity maybe don’t sell clothing/ bathers past a size 12/14.

Beautiful, patient staff, great range of sizes and styles, sparkling clean and well organised sales space, could not recommend highly enough!

Heading north when it's starting to get cold here. Needed to stock up on swimwear for 2 people. Walked out with nothing, not even an acknowledgement of us being in the store. Thank you for allowing us to take our business elsewhere. Won't step foot in this store again.
