Had a wheel replaced on my suitcase. Staff were friendly and service was efficient and well priced.

Mark was absolutely incredible. His knowledge is just phenomenal, he was super friendly and helpful too. The store have a wide range of luggage, after being referred by my airline due to damaging my case, Mark patiently answered every question I had and helped guide me with his professional opinion to get the best result.

They have a good range of travel goods, some good quality brands, helpful staff. For some reason a repair to a leather handbag took more time than expected to have it finished but all was good in the end.

Good place to get your damaged bags repaired under you luggage claim. If they can't repair they will give you a brand new one. I accidentally forget the sequence code for lock pad and the guy took less than a minute to unlock it. I will definitely recommend this place.

I took a music instrument soft case here with a broken zip. Thought it would be impossible to repair. Shiva did it within an hour. The bag is better than what it was before and I have a warranty for one year in the works that have been done. Thank you so much Shiva and team! Saved me so much

Four days ago my suitcase was broken and had to travel uncertainly, my friend recommended me to go there as he is very loyal customer of Sweeny from 30 years. As my suitcase was quick fixed, very prompt service, the staff was really friendly and helpful. I think it’s Melbourne one of the best place to buy and repair as well. I am very happy with the service they provided. Good work. Highly recommended

Walked in and no one greeted me. Two men were behind counter talking to each other. After I signaled that I needed help they both looked at me and kept talking. I decided to walk out and only as I walked past the counter to exit, did one of them ask me if I needed any help. I replied "not anymore" and left.

My bag was irreversibly damaged during a
long-haul flight I was sent there was a letter. At 9am the gentleman at the counter was extremely helpful, the process was simple, and even gave me options to my replacement. Couldn't ask for a better calmer service when faced with broken luggage and a pending 30 hour travel itinerary.

The worst place to purchase anything. The Manager is rude, unprofessional, dishonest and disinterested. Im not suprised a very large store has very little stock, very dirty, unkempt and few customers. The Manager should have a look at what other stores are offering with range and service, but Im guessing he is not interested in showing any interest in his competitors or customers. I was appauled by his attitude. If you want good ranges, good service and professionalism, head to the corner of Flinders Lane and Elizabeth St, Travellers Souvenirs & Luggage, where all stock is 40% off. You will thank me. Happy shopping, just not at Sweeneys.
I just noticed your post, the problem is, it was the manager, as I asked if I could speak to the manager and was informed that he was the manager. A very bad example of a manger, appauling.

Have always had great service here when having cases repaired. Do a lot of travel and unfortunately have had to go there numerous times over last decade as airlines have damaged cases. Always fixed fast and free for me as I have had Vicorinox cases with a warranty.

Have also bought cases from them as they are much cheaper than retail stores and online stores.

Always had great service even under extenuating circumstances when our faithful aged traveling companion has been beaten mercilessly.

Amazing service, they helped my friend greatly after her suitcase was damaged on her way to Melbourne from Zimbabwe.

When my beloved bag was damaged (beyond repair) during a recent flight the airline sent me to Sweeney's for a replacement.
I couldn't have found them more helpful - answering my questions, suggesting various options to make sure I got the bag that was right for me.
I asked to use the airline credit towards a better quality bag which they were more than happy to do & gave me a very competitive price.
