78Good customer service, awesome food, specially I liked paneer chilli, it was one of the best in my life
BEST. INDIAN. EVER.
Real homestyle fresh and flavoursome cooking. Not oily. Light and as though you're eating at a friends place who really knows their way around the kitchen. 5 stars.
Excellent food and service as always! Been dining at this place since last many years and I have never been dissapointed. I feel it is the best indian restaurant in south eastern suburbs. Thanks for always feeding us good food and providing excellent service!
Fantastic food, great service and really good experience. It's a BYO wine restaurant as well. The food was delicious. Put it on your list. It's a must!
Dined with Family at this Restaurant. Great food great recommendations from the staff made the experience really great. Staff catered to our needs of no spice for kids including making a social chicken for my 3yr old. It’s our first time but considering we came from recommendation we will surely be visiting again and recommending to our friends. Thanks Swaad
Such lovely young staff. The owner was also great on the phone when we booked and very accommodating. The food did take a while but they were very busy and it was understandable. The garlic nann was awesome amd very generous. Veggie curry was perfect and great amount of spice. Reasonable prices as well. Atmosphere was great too. We were took lots of food home
I'm going to have to drop it a star after tonight's visit. When asked if I wanted some additional papadum to the 2 pieces provided when seated, and said yes, I was surprised and disappointed to be charged $6 for 4 pieces of papadum (not even with the dipping sauces). But wasn't told it would be an extra charge these cost $1.50 for 20!
If you are feeling like great quality, tasty Indian cuisine, with exceptional customer service, in a beautiful restaurant, then look no further. This is the place. The food is simply delicious and full of flavour!
The staff are friendly and very customer service focused. I was very impressed. They took the time to offer help and recommend dishes, checked in enough times to make sure food was okay and if anything was needed
Good food. Very tasty. Great for groups of 3 or more when you can share meals. Service was good but could be a little more professional.
I am very particular about where I choose to eat. Swaad is a place I am coming back to again.
Customer service was great
The food was beyond incredible.
Some of the best Indian food I've had. The Lamb korma hit so well, robust and tangy. Butter chicken was rich and full. So glad they're close by. Garlic naan tied it all together so well
Recently visited but was upset. Heard a lot about their food but it seems I dropped by at the wrong day. I ordered Goan Fish curry which is a goan speciality dish. Here the chef had no idea of this speciality dish. Please check YouTube if you do not know the recipe. There are many videos with authentic goan Fish curry recipe. Firstly Goan Fish curry is normally cooked with pomfret which I still understand you do not use for being expensive but not that you cannot use yellow pomfret which is available plentiful in Australia and is reasonably priced. Even a single slice or 2 slice of golden pomfret can be served at $26 that you charged for it. Secondly I hardly felt the taste of fresh coconut which is a must in this curry. Thirdly every spoon of the curry had so much mustard seed that I could hardly taste anything else. It seems the chef had used atleast 3-4 tablespoon of mustard seed instead of the customary 2/3 pinch for tadka. Fourtly the curry had no taste of any spices just thick onion and tomato paste. Please do not serve and waste our money and good mood of customers who come and order a speciality dish. Remove it from your menu. Your chef just doesn't know how to cook it. * Please zoom the curry to see how much mustard seed can be seen and equally in the full dish.
Based on the raving reviews, we went in for quick dinner today.
Pros- accessibility to the restaurant and location, ambience, cleanliness in restaurant, staff was polite, quantity of food and we got a place without reservation.
Cons- The chicken biryani that we ordered tasted like pulao with almost boiled chicken and literally no spices (very bland), although the raita that accompanied it (came a bit later) tasted so much better.
Amazing food, with the best customer service across the country. The quality of the food is superb and well presented with authentic Indian flavours. 10/10 would recommend to anyonez
The staff were fantastic, very helpful with want we wanted to try. They worked with us as we had a vegetarian with us.
Food was awesome, very tasty and not too hot. Thank you Swaads for excellent customer service and beautiful tasty food. I even got a gift for my birthday, wow, never had that from any other establishment! Wonderful! Highly recommend!
Very good experience, amazing services by staff, worth going there. Must try guys u will never regret coming here. Food is really fresh and taste superb.
I'm not a fan of indian food but i LOVE Swaads. It is like going to a family member's house for dinner - the service is impeccable and much better than some of those fancy restaurants, Saby is so so lovely and accommodating and the food is incredible! Have returned on many occasions and Swaad's has never missed the spot. Highly highly highly recommend!
This restaurant is by far the best Indian restaurant in Melbourne. My partner and I come here frequently and we have never had a negative experience whatsoever. The food is clean, fresh and authentic. We highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good Indian food, and genuinely kind and friendly staff.
This is probably the best option for Indian food in the area. The menu is differentiated, the food is tasty and well presented and the staff are wonderful. We love how the decor has evolved and improved over time. Saurabh and team go out of their way to ensure a great experience.
One of the best place for authentic Indian food, we ordered fish tikka, garlic and butter naan and goat curry and all the dishes were delicious, good portion for decent price. I would recommend if you want to try Indian cuisine.
The service can't be faulted + lovely staff.
Meals beautifully cooked. Tender meats in delicious curry sauces. Enjoyed the Butter Chicken & Lamb Rogan Josh last night. Lemon rice and Pilau are great accompaniments. Looking forward to trying something different from the menu next time!
