Sushi Galore reviews
57 Great value food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Wide range of both sushi and hot dishes. Happy to cater for different dietary requirements - easy to get range of gluten free here.
Friendly smiling service and most meals come out quite quickly (of course sushi platters always take a bit longer to freshly prepare).
We're regular customers here.
I love Sushi Galore and try to go once a week if possible.their food is very good value and I love their Californian salmon rolls - fresh and tasty
Miso soup was amazingly good. Meal was delivered quickly and the staff were eager to please. Open till late compared with most other places on burgundy st, and also open on Mondays. Will definitely go again!
Would not recommend the Ramen. Ordering ramen in a Japanese place like this expecting ramen but it was more like noodles in watery broth. Was hoping for a full flavoured Ramen broth but was severly let down. Definately not what a ramen should taste like.
Came in unannounced with 8 people and was happily greeted. Just that is worth a star extra. Fresh in-house made pickled ginger is A+.
Excellent Japanese food.
Ideal for all types of dining (families or couples).
Reasonably priced & good service.
Have returned on numerous occassions.
I went to this restaurant today. I ordered a pork ramen. It is one of the best Japanese pork ramen I ever tried. The tonkatsu based soup was so nice and rich and the pork was so soft, tasty and yummy. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I definitely will recommend to my friends. Good job guys!
So, I came in today and ordered pork ramen. It was the yuckiest food I have ever put in my mouth, It was so plain and it didn't have any salt or flavour to it. It taste like your drinking water with bit of chilli. And this is the first time I went to this resturent and I'm very disapointment, I told them it is tasteless and all they offer me was some chilli to fix the taste. I have attached the picture you can tell its so watery.
Lovely restaurant!
The soups they do are natural and healthy and what I really enjoy it is the same feeling than when you are having it prepared at home.not processed / not to much seasoning / love it!
Lovely staff as well and very genuine family.
I go there 2-3 times a week.

Ramen is edible but not very authentic - comes with a very light broth with broccoli, carrot, zucchini and bean sprouts. The egg was okay. Tempura on the other hand was great - mushroom, scallop, fish, prawn and sweet potato.
One of the most disappointed places I ever had. I wish there was option for 0 star.
I ordered Eel Unagi, it was super bland, unmarrinated, come with Chinese stir fried vegie (why? !? !), if it was my 1st time eating Eel, I would never eat eel again. Horrible.
While my friend order beef on rice, the beef is so old it has very odd texture. Maybe they used Chinese tenderise trick. Again, it was super bland, unmarrinated, served with stir fried Chinese vegie.
100% staff were Chinese, chatting and laughing loudly in Chinese, no customer service whatsoever. They even turned on Chinese songs.
That really explained a lot why they had very very few customers when we walked in.
This is extremely non authentic restaurant, dont go there. All the food are not marrinated, even food in food court is so much better.
Came here last night from Austin hospital, and the food was wonderful with great service and even better prices. The decor is very pleasant as well, and there's a peaceful atmosphere. The pork gyoza is truthfully one of the best I've ever had. Keep up the wonderful work, staff.
I ordered a chicken katsu curry. The katsu curry is some kind of sluggy soy sauce. Luckily since it's not a curry, you can simply wipe it off with a paper napkin. No way to salvage the over fried chicken though.
Absolutely love this restaurant, the sushi is always so fresh and the serves of mains are really generous and delicious
Greeted by a very rude and abrupt owner. The young staff were very nice. So rude. Go across the road and get treated nicely!
Great authentic Japanese restaurant the Bento boxes are a must try but everything on the menu is a delight highly recommend this place!
Very very good. Recommend by a regular of 7 years. I had recommended it to another within 24 hours.
