Surfcoast Wholefoods reviews
29Today myself and my girlfriends had done the mystery picnic and our first stop was surf coast whole foods. The food was so fresh and delicious. You all worked very hard to get the shop open due to the power outage, well done to all. I will apologise on be half of the absolute rude old lady that had spoken to your staff like dirt. Again thank you for working so hard to get our picnic ready!
What is wrong with the chick's in this store? Fu$%! I was recently in country NSW and you guys in comparison to these other beautiful people seem stuck in a consistent PMS state! Your service STINKS! If there is a smile school with a customer service component ask management to send you. Even the Naturopath today was aloof! Whatever culture you are trying to create, it hasn't happened! Your staff don't appear to want to be clocked on!
I went in for a browse to see what was offered and wasn't disappointed. There was a large variety of natural, clean, ethical products. Faily expensive, typical holiday location prices. Good coffee. Easy enough parking if its not busy.
Lovely staff. I really appreciate being able to see their faces. It makes me feel safe and connected.
Not a single staff member, out of 3 people working, wearing masks. I don’t understand how you can be a ‘health food’ store and have zero consideration for the health of your community. So disappointing. (Personal preference or sheer laziness isn’t grounds for a mask exemption).
Great produce, terrible customer service. If you come here expect great quality items and food but expect to wait for it.
Multiple staff issues we have encountered:
1. Staff leave you waiting without acknowledging your presence for ordering or paying for goods.
2. Staff do not know the produce (charged me for oyster mushrooms even when I pointed out they were just large flat mushrooms), on another occasion ordered a juice off their board and was not informed it was just a “grab it from the fridge” and pre-bottled so was left standing waiting for 10minutes.
3. Staff will push you out of the way when browsing products in the back fridge as there also an entrance to their storage room there. A simple excuse me would be appreciated.
4. Inconsistent discounts on items past best before/use by, eg. Same item may be free, 10,20,30,50% off or no discount at all.
Staff need to be more customer service focussed, better trained on goods and potentially more staff rostered on.
Food is accommodating for dietary restrictions.which with family with autoimmune health issues we are grateful for. Was very disappointing to see staff not wearing masks. 3 not at all, and 1 on chin. So that's us out.
Our go to Organic shop. Staff are super friendly and produce is always fresh and affordable. They even have a great selection of cafe foods and raw treats and make a great iced coffee too.
Very disappointed with this place. Selling you milk one day from out of date full priced.selling zeally bay bread higher than the actual RRP where you can simply go to swell and get it cheaper.this place is thief on price.customer service is also poor.it’s a shame.
I drive quite a distance to get to this place. Prices are always reasonable and there's always a really good broad selection of fresh fruit and veggies. Clingstone peaches OMG! It is one of my favourite places to get Chai as well although it can be unpredictable.
We went there as part of a mystery picnic. If I lived closer I would shop there every week. The food was delicious and the customer service even better. Thank you
Walked in at 9am, QR Code with apparent menu didn’t work. Stood at counter for 10mins, no one came to help so I looked around, had some great produce but store was dirty and need of a good clean.
Was in here over the weekend - most of the customers were wearing masks but not one of the staff members were, despite state health regulations. Coffee was average. Food overpriced.
Went here for breakfast, they dont really have a breakfast menu, so we settled for coffee. Had my baby in a high chair that was infested with spiders.the outdoor area was filthy. Really disappointed.
Such a shame the customer service is so poor. I’ve only come across one staff member who is engaged, most are lacking either experience, training or interest in treating customers well. The food and produce is 5 stars, but it takes more than just good product to make a store desirable to shop in. This business would benefit from employing staff who can work at a quicker pace and provide proper service.
Smoothies are healthy and fresh tasting. Mostly a grocery store with small range of takeAway items. Service was friendly when we were there despite what other reviewers have said
Had the spiced bean tacos and acai bowl and they were both delicious (definitely add the optional peanut butter to the acai bowl, it's sublime). The coffee was great, the staff were friendly, and there were good vegan options.
A little gem in this beautiful town. Leading the way with organic food, sourdough, a wide range of products plus their own restaurant with heaps of vegan/plantbased & gluten-free options. Definitely give their smoothies a go - sooooo divine
This cozy restaurant is tugged away in the midst of the Torquay beach area together with shops like Coffee Club. Being just a few mins away from the beach means it's quiet yet not far from the action. Meals served are uniquely natural and organic. The place inside is cozy and has rows of organic items for sale. There is a outdoor area with feature carved bench that kids would love. Highly recommended for families. A Must-visit if you happen to drop by Torquay.
Worst food I have ever eaten. Had the trio of salads way too much mayo or what ever it was.
My husband had the cauliflower and couscous chef special no flavour what so ever.
Will never go there again. Was very disappointed, it was also quite expensive.
