SUPA IGA North Melbourne reviews
45 Expensive and cluttered, store feels very claustrophobic and industrial.
Glorified 7/11.
Great groceries and large range of specialist deli items!
Yummy stuff.was happily surprised with really good prices.as well as cheap beers and wines!
Great shop on our short stay in Melbourne for my hospital visit
Who knew a small independent chain like this would have such a great variety and stock of groceries. Great store
Suits all of our requirements, even good range of pet food and alcohol. Great saver pricing and very friendly keep it up guys, great job. Our go to place beats woolies hands down
It’s happened to me several times now that I arrive at the register and the products I’m buying have a different price in the computer (more expensive) than displayed in store. This mostly seems to happen with products that are on offer. The sale prices are just not integrated into the system it seems. This week I arrived at the register and 2 out of 3 products didn’t have the correct price. The guy behind the till in the bottle shop said that it was ‘just what it was’. Another colleague then came over and changed it. No apologies nothing. Not impressed.
Medium sized supermarket with a small bottle shop attached. They offer all the usual everyday products you go to the supermarket for, being on the border of the cbd prices are slightly inflated which seems to be the norm for supermarkets close to or within the cbd. Also available is some fresh produce though choose wisely as I found most of the fruit was over ripend. Available also are made sandwiches like a ham, cheese, tomato if you're after something quick for lunch.
Went to shopping there today, a tall, Indian staff walking around freely working there at night shift without wear a mask and chatting to another colleagues who was working there too, won't go there again.
I really like this IGA. They stock local and international chocolates, peanut butter, chips, ice cream etc. Locally baked bread, fresh orange juice, the list goes on. Staff are always friendly too!
Does it hurt you to ask if we'd like a bag?
you should be offering that to people not just assume that they will have a bag or bundle up their shopping in arms and carry home.what is wrong with you people working there?
having to ask "can i please have a bag" is very annoying since you can clearly see that i haven't got one with me and my shopping quantity will require a bag to carry.
Person at bottle shop trust to add one dollar your bill, ask if you want receipt, by law they should give you a. Receipt, cunning business practice.
IGA North Melbourne is a great place to shop. It is a big shop never feels over crowded. Always 2 people on the checkout. Carries the produce I buy.
Good Supermarket but staff not that friendly and prices were rather high to say the least. Nice range of merchandise though.
They've under gone quite the revamp.
'Culley's Carolina Reaper No. 10' can be found here.
Bought 3 items. The Arab guy at cash register tried to swap my bread in the nicest possible way, trying to convince me the bread was crushed. He swapped the fresh loaf with a loaf which was a week old and due to expire the next day, according to the use by sticker. When I pointed that out, he didn't offer to switch it for a fresh loaf which wasn't 'crushed'. He wasn't embarrassed about doing that at all. The sliced ham which I bought at the deli, which was supposed to be on sale, was priced at $3 more per kg on the weighing machine. The lady at the deli was reusing her plastic gloves and touched all the machines and doors. Not good. You wouldn't think that supermarkets were struggling during lockdown, so tactics like this are just a cash grab.
Went for something that Coles and Woollies never had, redcurrant jelly and they had it what more can be said
This store is very well managed and the staff are very polite and serve the customers well. One concern is that when entering and exiting you aren't able financial distance in times like this which is a major concern. But overall the store has a wide selection of stock is great and the also having the liquor store attached makes shopping for liquor just as easy.
Aehy used to regularly shop every week at IGA Errol St Nth Melbourne between 1997-2016 and today's shop is the very best floorplan to date, very enjoyable.
The most expensive supermarket too. Staff not that friendly. I've had wrong prices scanned a number of times where specials were not applied, so i always check. Neighbours have complained about their inflexible with returns policy, no receipt no return even if you can prove via credit card statement.
Great little supermarket close to the Royal Melbourne hospital, I went there looking for a pair of hair clippers, they didn't have any but they do cram a lot of things in to that small place, i will still give them a good rating
Their range is limited and overpriced.
Need to lift their standard and keep away the people out the front begging for money and harrassing.
