Tonight we celebrated Chinese New Year in an 8 course banquet with a difference!

Music, Karaoke, horoscopes, dancing, games and prizes - we had SO much fun!

To top the night off we were blessed with the most delicious food once again! (This is my 2nd review for Sun Wah after yet another fantastic time here!).

And the staff! The entire team were bright, bubbly, fun and joined in on the celebrations! The night was busy with a full house but not a single glass was left empty, dishes were brought out with great timing and not a dirty plate left in sight! The service was impeccable and with nothing but smiles. I'm very big on customer service and I couldn't fault a thing - if you were my team I'd be so proud!

It was lovely to return to Sun Wah after some time away through Covid!
We tried the new Grazing banquet for two, and really enjoyed it.

Peking duck was delish. Service is fabulous. We just found the dumpings very doughy and the duck croquettes tiny and over cooked for the price. Lovely vibe to the place.

Amazing food & so much if it! We both had the Chefs tapas. Everything was delicious & timed perfectly by lovely, friendly staff. Great drinks menu, V nice ambiance. Will definitely be back.

The food was good, but there wasn’t anything special to comment about as I mentioned in my reservation that it was our wedding anniversary.

Fantastic food and fabulous service. The beef dish melted in my mouth. The friendly service has determined that I will be going back many times. The Chefs Choice of dishes was well plated and delicious. Well done Sun Wah!

Great restaurant, modern Chinese fusion with an excellent choice of dishes. We had the Chef's choice tapas with about 10 light dishes for a very reasonable price - absolutely delicious.

We visited Sun Wah last night for dinner, enjoying one of their 10 course degustation special dinner menus. It was absolutely delicious and we highly recommend visiting. We will be back again! Thank you Rowena and Cliff for the great meal and service.

If I had a choice to click on 0 stars I would. Let’s start with the positives shall we. The service was brilliant. Polite, accommodating and prompt. It’s a shame the food didn’t reach the great heights of the service. In fact it was continent’s apart. Absolutely horrendous. The star of the night was the Crab dumpling which resembled 2 week old dry clag from your year 1 art class drizzled with 4 fish eggs! The best part of the dish though was the specially brought out broth which reminded me of boiled Adelaide tap water (zero taste). The close runner up, the pork belly which reminded me of my late grandmothers (god rest her soul) WELL DONE RUMP! Notable contender: another rubber boot steak dish. Thanks allot Red Balloon! A horrendous recommendation!

Celebrated milestone birthday dinner with family and loved the personal service, generosity and delicious food! Complimentary dessert for the birthday boy was an unexpected surprise & topped off a lovely evening. Iconic Mordialloc restaurant which is honest, authentic & a hidden gem

An absolutely incredible restaurant. We came for our one year anniversary on a red balloon experience and we’re blown away. The staff were some of the most friendly and helpful waitstaff I’ve ever seen and the food was absolutely incredible, the chef even came out to check we were enjoying everything. They were so accomodating, changing up their menu because one of us were vegetarian (the vegetarian substitutes were amazing!) and the cocktails were delicious. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for an amazing night!

Came for my 20th wedding anniversary, and decided on the Chef's Tasting Menu at $89 each.
The wait staff didnt know the difference between this menu and the 6 course Feedme Set Menu but thats OK.
While the flavour was excellent, the duck in the crepes was over cooked, and the 5th course wasnt Wagyu Eye Fillet. Also for a dish called Firecracker Prawns, I would think there would be more than 1 prawn.
A good feed, but not a great one.

Very disappointed with the food entree’s were over priced 3 dumplings for $15 most place you would expect to get at least 6 but they were about the only good things we ate!
Then we got the mains wagu beef dish was horrible fried rice had nothing in it for a special fried rice and rice was still grainy beef ribs were fatty no flavour for a place like they have made it out to be not worth the price you pay!

Saw an FB ad on Friday, booked in for Saturday. Staff were excellent. Ordered the Yum Cha Grazing menu which had 11 plates including a dessert platter. And included a cool Purple Dragon cocktail. Highlights were the fried duck croquette with truffle mayo, Scallop and pear (on crispy pork!?) and the peking duck crepe.

What a hidden gem, great family owned restaurant with excellent service. We had the chefs selection menu and we weren't disappointed. All the dishes had amazing flavour, were extremly fresh, with beautiful presentation.

Amazing yum cha tapas grazing menu and other set menus, staff are really friendly and attentive.

As always the food was magnificent and beautifully presented. Sun Wah is one of Mordialloc's best restaurants.

A great night was had by all! The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely friendly. Accomodating knowledgeable and make great recommendations! Sun Wah is a must!

I have recently heard back from Sun Wah and I am happy that they have taken my experience on board. It is great for a restaurant to acknowledge that customers can have both good and bad experiences and I wish them well

Overpriced and bland Chinese food. Most entrees are deep fried. Presentation was poor. Tomato sauce and sweet chilli sauce in a spoon as the accompanying sauce? $15 for 3 dumplings?
Special fried rice and “sizzling beef” dish was something out of a food court. Dishes were very sweet and I could tell there’s lots of cornflour used.
$120 for 3 people. I think the location adds to the price but the food is unfortunately not worth it. Would not recommend or go back.
