Sugar Me

The lash lift i got today was $75 not worth it. The lady first pinched my eyelids multiple times with her twisters and it was a very uncomfortable experience. They also missed a spot in the corner so now I've got a patch where the eyelashes aren't even curled. I've gotten eyelash lifts so many times before but this place they did it horribly. It didn't look natural and they made it look like a wall just going straight up. They did my friends well but messed up mine, I am not happy with these. It will be better to just pay extra to go to a better place.

Can’t thanks enough to Sumi to grow my beauty business, i have been trained by her for Eyebrows tattooing as Microblading ombré n combination with eyelash lifting as well. Her teaching skills are amazing, she provided all of the information regarding more over she recommended as of the suppliers etc where I can get my stuff to start new services in my salon. She is very friendly and helpful normally people don’t do…and I’ve done my Microblading in her salon, would love to share that experience too. Fantastic service and extremely friendly and full of knowledge to make you feel special. They just want to help you feel good about yourself. Great place

If I could give this business 0 stars, I would. I came in as a model for her student however as I arrived there was absolutely no consultation, I had no idea how the procedure would go, I was also given no aftercare.

On top of that, when she came over to take over the tattooing process with me, She did not wash her hands or wash her hands before tattooing the other model in the room. I had to personally ask her to wash her hands.

She was not a supportive teacher at all, you would think if it is someone’s first time tattooing especially someone’s face that the teacher should be watching for at least the first bit to ensure everything is going well. However the student was just given instructions to start and she did, the student noticed that the ink was not taking at all and her advice was just to go deeper in without checking at all. She proceeded to tattoo me deeper but still no ink was disbursing. I was in so much pain as no consultation OR prior to the appointment instructions were given. Not only was I in so much pain that I could not finish the tattoo, she did an extra deep pass on my lips for no reason. Especially when you are performing or teaching a skin penetration service the least you expect is for the teacher to be watching, the student was expressing her concerns about the ink not taking and she still didn’t come over to check or to even have a quick look.

I have never been to Sumi personally for any services, therefore I cannot speak on that however to summarise I would never ever recommend her to anyone to learn. She was unhygienic, she did not provide an adequate pre procedure or post procedure consultation/advice, she was extremely unsupportive and to me honestly it didn’t seem like she cared at all about her students work.

Update: Sumee has now found my social media account and is currently accusing me with defamation which is not the case at all and is trying to coerce me to delete my review.

Had eyelash tint and lift and brow lamination. Ruined both. Brows were close to black and terrible shape when I asked for natural blonde. Had to go somewhere else the following week to have fixed.re: eyelashes - eyelashes completely folded over and burnt skin on side of eyes with solution. Went back to get to reverse and they wanted to charge me for another lash lift. Do not recommend!

I went to sugar me for waxing before my formal, I had long hair on my underarms and legs and my legs were left feeling like i'd shaven them and with welts and extremely itchy, patches of hair were missed on my legs as well, my underarms were left feeling like I'd shaven them too, as well as almost missing sections of hair on them too, the brazillian was ok, they advised to switch to sugar waxing for the brazillian and i was once again left feeling like i'd just shaven, they blamed me shaving days prior as to why. Do not recommend going here for waxing if you have sensitive skin as the results will leave you like me, itchy and welted. The welts feel and look like i was bitten by mozzies and no prewax care was used and they just applied oil after, definitely not what i know is meant to be done to ensure a good wax job. I've gotten better results on my legs and underarms just doing it at home, do not waste your money getting waxing done here, it's not worth it.

Ji was very sweet and informative. I asked lots of questions as it was my first time getting sugaring done and she answered them well. She let me know what it was going to be like. I’m excited to see the results!

I’ve been going to Sugar Me in Southland for over a year now to get Brazilian Sugaring done and Ji is my absolute favourite! She is so professional and makes sure the experience is as pain free and comfortable for you as possible. The rest of the team are also lovely and great at their jobs! Definitely recommend if you want sugaring services done in the South East! 10/10

I was recommended to visit Sugar-me by a girlfriend who was in the beauty industry so I trusted her advice. Having your face temp tattooed was a bit stressful and I was nervous to say the least. Sumi found a time for me in her busy schedule and made me feel at ease and listened to at the initial consult. The process was comfortable and Sumi kept checking to see if I was happy with the shape of the eyebrows before proceeding and constantly checked during the procedure to see if I was comfortable. The outcome is fantastic. I couldn’t be happier. I’m a bit OCD and a perfectionist and I’m thrilled with the outcome. I will recommend to others and be back for touch ups.
