Strzelecki Motor Lodge / The Black Bull Motel reviews
57I would rate 5/5 for everything - friendly staff, easy access, central located, clean and tidy posh rooms, swimming pool. I mean I couldn’t have asked for a better accomodation to spend my holidays
Very pleasant stay. From checking in to checking out, the wonderful hosts see to your every need. Lovely clean, comfortable room, with a balcony overlooking a welcoming pool. This room has all your needs, and is very spacious
Then in the morning after a lovely hot shower, you are treated to a wonderful continental breakfast. Certainly stay here again.
Lovely clean rooms, friendly service by all staff. And a good breakfast hosted by staff. Thank you
Stayed o'night Xmas Day & was very impressed. Spotlessly clean room, large/comfy new bed. Stylish big armchairs in sitting area of room which was almost same size as my lounge room! Nice free breakfast next morning & owner personally drove us across town to pick up my car. Price also cheap so got seperate room for the kids. Couldn't ask for more!
As a three star motel, I found the Strezlecki to be excellent value. The room was very clean and functional. Staff were friendly and the continental breakfast included in the tariff was more than ample. A great value motel if looking for a place to rest the head for a night. Ate at the Green Olive restaurant just up the road and can highly recommend there for its food and beverages. Definitely would stay here again if looking for accommodation in Traralgon.
5 stars for the friendly welcome and large variety in free continental breakfast. Very satisfied with my stay, the location of the motel is in close proximity to all the essentials. Would definitely stay again when I visit the town next time.
We stayed for 2 nights and loved the new beds and fresh linen. The new managers made sure we had a wonderful stay. Rooms where clean, spacious and quite. All in all, a brilliant stay and very comfortable. With everything within walking distance.
My wife Isabella and I recently stayed at the Strzelecki Motor Lodge, the new owners were extremely welcoming and friendly, assisting us with everything we needed.
The rooms were spotless and comfy.
Thanks again for your efforts.
I have been staying at different motels (some were horrendous) at Traralgon for work for a month now and I think this Motel is the most value for money. Room has character and is clean. Very organized set up. They have made an effort to make the room really pretty. It also has A TV, clean microwave and clean fridge with two lounges. Breakfast was included which was a surprise, breakfast place looks nice and is very well organized and covid safe (food are prepacked) compared to other motels in this area. The only downside is Bathroom needs updating but other than that everything else is good. From now on I will be using this hotel for my work stay.
A change of ownership and all things moving in a very positive direction. Can I say clean and comfortable with more to come
It’s very a very homely place. I’ve stayed here on and off for 7 years, weeks on end, for work. Each stay has always satisfied and I don’t even think twice when I need to book a stay in Traralgon; I just book in and go!
Cleaning standards terrible. Noisy, at night, dogs barking and people partying, Manager said if you stay in Traralgon on a saturday night you have to expect that.mmm! Breakfast average.
Very disappointed, wont go there again. Nothing like the photos.
Rooms are spacious, neat and tidy. Pricing for an overnight stay was reasonable. Staff members are friendly, courteous and helpful.
No breakfast available any more. (Don't trust the details of the website, it's not up to date.) I have been advised that due to COVID-19, they are not providing breakfast any more. Cleanness is OK. Furniture is renovated. Infrastructure is old. Competetive price but can be improved on customer experience. I believe the owners may be passing through stressful times due to COVID-19 and its effects on the tourism industry. But I think that they must be nice couple. Feeling better to support hard working old couple family. Good luck for future.
Very poor, no electric blankets and the heater is absolute rubbish! I aid $155 for spa ensuite it is so inundated.
I order take away as you do as essential worker. I go out put my left chicken in the fridge. And there was was a random salad and folk in the fridge that's. Clearly been eaten. And used. The freezer is has never been clean and has built up ice with frozen stuff in it ROOM 3.
The room is a good size and comfortable. The location is great, close to all amenities. Staff are helpful and obliging. Good value for $99 a night.
Great location close to everything. Free continental breakfast was great. Great staff. Now the but! The rooms although dated seriously needed a good clean. Dust on everything! We had our own house spider along with webs!
Friendly welcome & staff, the room is clean & well presented. Lovely room, plenty of space & comfy sitting chairs for me to read my book. Nice breakfast available too. Bathroom needs an upgrade to match the room though - especially the shower.
Pretty good. Breakfast is the highlight. They have soy milk which is great and wasn't expected. Lost a point on the 5th star as the surroundings of the pool could need a little love and attention. I.e sun beds, weeds on the entrance etc.
ALL ELECTRICAL SWITCHES IN ROOM 7 ARE A DEATH TRAP. I mentioned it to the manager and he threatened to evict me. They can't even supply ice!
