Great coffee, atmosphere and location. Doggie-friendly with outside tables. Stayed for light lunch (mediocre), and forgot the pizza order - shame as pizza looked the best option on the menu. Then we were charged another table's bill. However, the next day, the manager was very empathetic and understood, citing industry difficulties to get well trained hospitality staff and offered a refund for the bill difference and compensation for inconvenience, loss of time and poor customer service which was immensely appreciated and professionally handled. We would return for the great coffee ️

"The importance of a great first impression can not be overlooked in the coffee business. Every day you will be met by new customers that have never seen your business before, let alone have walked in, interacted with a barista, or made a purchase. " ~ Coffee Business, Planning and Design

As mentioned above, the look and feel of a coffee shop must convey the impression that your business is approachable, appealing, and desirable to the community it serves.
Being a local trader I always loved the amazing array of snacks, especially the tiny egg & bacon pies and wonderful coffee they served, also the lovely ladies that served me, there was so much to look at, it reminded me of a small "Tully's", it was so worth a visit every day! ~
now they have spent millions revamping this store ONCE AGAIN into a modern vibe showcasing wines and not much else!
It has completely lost all its charisma and charm!
It's also very unclear where to actually go when you walk in, how to purchase and where to go for coffee.
I'm not sure what the designers & architects had in their minds and what their end goal was but STRINGERS is now quite cold and uninviting and there is nothing worth buying for morning tea or lunch takeaway that doesn't cost the earth.
Even the coffee is now 2nd rate!
So disappointing!

Three of us went to cafe section for a quick meal (big mistake)
No signage showing prices or details of food on offer. 2 or 3 staff hardly acknowledged our presence then had to explain food. We finally ordered but no tap water available so went next door to get some. Ordered 2 chicken things & savoury capsicum dish. The capsicum was served cold (bizarre) so we requested it to be heated. The other 2 had finished their chicken & after 3 attempts to get capsicum & nearly 20 minutes I told them to forget it, as we had to get going. The 2 servers went & got a chef who still didn’t know how to use microwave, Seriously I know the old “ Covid” excuse gets a good run & talk about “ all show& no go “. For gods sake get the Original “Stringers”back

First time here. Proper table service. Sat out the front on the street, in the sun with warmth radiating off the sandstone exterior. Great staff, great atmosphere. My only complaint; coffee was a bit slow.
Had the Green, the Pink, Barista’s Breakfast and French toast. Highly recommend the Green, French Toast & Barista’s Breakfast

Exquisite little café. Food was absolutely beautiful. I had the chilli scrambled eggs and the better half had mushrooms on toast. Both were a good portion size but more than this, the taste was insane.
Good proper coffee as well. Throughly recommend a visit.

Good grocery shop albeit a bit overpriced. But seeing as where you are I guess it can be deemed reasonable.

Wide range of goods from savorh snacks to deli and vegetables.

Coffee was as good as I was told. Great choice of really yummy food. Lovely view of the bay and the pines. Clean toilets, and free, regardless of the sign. Amazing vegan chocolate.

Myself and 5 friends went in to the stringers store for breakfast. 2 of them received their order within 10 min and everyone else waited 45min for theirs. The big breakfast and a drink was nearly $30 for which we received canned baked beans and poached eggs that was hard boiled. When i asked the waitress why our food was so late, she told us that we didn't take our number and that's why they didn't know where to bring the food (so how did they know where to bring the first 2 orders and coffees?)
Overall very disappointing.

Amazing store, great range and service. Always stop for coffee and great take away meals. Browse the aisles after lunch for some of Victoria’s best produce.

Not many cafes open after 3pm here, so great to find this one. Coffee was great and the lime cherry slice was delightful. Will come back again.

Waited 40 minutes for coffee. Not good service. Badly organised cafe. Disappointing experience.

Terrible coffee. Food was worse. Lazy cooking with no thought on freshness or balance of flavor.

Love this store, nice improvements but I do miss the big rounds of cheese in the deli. Bought some lovely meats, dips and cheese with crusty bread for our lunch on the beach. Great service, thanks ladies

Very sad to see an iconic store ruined. No atmosphere in the cafe, no usual staff.all gone. The grocery side is a joke, went to Richies and spent my $300.00.on essentials and ordinary necessities.

2 days in Sorrento, 2 days in Stringers Store. Unfortunately, I am italian and as you know Italians always look for the best food in town. I had a slice of pizza here the First day, prosciutto crudo ham sandwich the day after. I loved the pizza, It Just reminded me of the Italian Bakery, freshly made, crunchy crust.amazing. The selection of beers was interesting too! Thank you!

Teenage girls have no clue what they are doing and have little work experience. We were ordering lunches for 10 people from one side of the counter and struggled to order from a little range and forget to mention there was a whole other range on the other side. Additionally we were waiting for 20 minutes for a cheese toastie until a teenage girl came out and told us it was added to the order. This totalled to 30 minutes for a toastie.

Mixed feelings really. Burger was nice enough although I was expecting for the mayo to be a standout and it wasn't. Pasta of the day was Napoli sauce and it was yummy. The eggs florentine was disappointing - bread was normal white bread and not sourdough and the eggs were closer to ha4d boiled than poached. The staff were nice and really friendly.
Had a look at the grocer and I can pretty much get the same stuff back in the city, didn't see any local produce.
