Strike Bowling Melbourne Central

A massive 2 thumbs up for Strike Melbourne Central. I explained I’d never bowled before and my 8 yo (ASD/ADHD) son wanted to give it a go after we had pancakes and ran a little late to go to a movie, and I was with my 4 year daughter too.

We encountered a great staff member, and without me even disclosing diagnosis (I just said I had a Carer card) she was super helpful and set the three of us up to bowl for the price of one child. We arrived at opening on a weekday so that might have helped, but they were fairly busy.

It was a bit hard for my 8 yo and she helped with setting up bumpers, light balls and the roller helper for my daughter without making any big deal of it. It happened like magic. We had a great time learning.

I wish I got her name these experiences make life so much more fun and easy to navigate.

Fun time bowling here, they allow you to wear you own shoes as long as they are enclosed. Decent bar area as well, if you’re here you may as well do the escape rooms too.

Honestly just wanna give everyone there a little forehead kiss! The staff there are absolutely beautiful and were so helpful when answering my dumb questions about how to start a game in bowling lmao. The bartenders were so kind and considerate to us while being friendly and approachable to which I said thank you for the service, and they gave my partner and I 2 free drinks for our anniversary! I was absolutely blown away and had a little cry in the bathroom. The food, drinks and game combo was wonderfully dangerous (10/10 would do again) The staff had treated us with an immense amount of respect and connectivity that just made the entire experience so wholesome. I will be back again 03/12/2022 for my next anniversary date. Until then, I wish everyone at STRIKE a Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, Happy Birthday, and other happy celebrations. I love love love LOVE you all

Rudest customer service experienced in melbourne. Been here for more than 10 times and never felt this way. The front staff was kinda being racist. Never coming back here again.

I went in a few days ago with a friend and was denied access because the customer attendant did not accept a screenshot of my vaccination certificate. She showed me a photo the same as the one posted below and said that a screenshot of the certificate was not acceptable as it could be faked. Whatever I tried to explain, she kept replying referring to photo despite the photo saying that what I had was acceptable. I had also used the same screenshot to get into other places including government buildings. It would be naïve for me to blame the customer service attendant for what happened, I think that HR should have picked up on this earlier and had either been more strict during hiring or done proper Covid-19 training. I do not suggest that management fire her and instead put more focus on the customer experience and training. I was upset leaving the venue as it was the same one I had gone to since high school, thankfully I was allowed into the Bowling alley at Melbourne Central that night.

Went bowling for my friends birthday, had an amazing time, you can tell the staff love to work there.they all have such positive vibes.especially James! If you are reading this you are a legend and you made our night!

These guys will steal your money. Have to pay up front when you book and if you want to postpone (even giving several days notice) they will not refund you under any circumstances. Went with a friends group recently under a different booking and tried to use my credit towards drinks and food and they wouldn’t let me use my own money! Pretty sure this is a breach of consumer law even if it is hidden deep in their fine print (which let’s face it, nobody reads). These people are crooks.

We had a great experience here on the weekend! The drinks were affordable and session time was very generous, and the staff were super knowledgable, accomodating and friendly! Frank in particular took care of our group and made the experience 10/10- we will definitely come back in the future!

Went on an all you can bowl Wednesday night and ended up leaving after 2 games as 2/3rds of the lanes were broken. The bowling balls compared to other bowling places tended to veer quite considerably, making it hard to bowl straight. We had 7 people on one lane and there was not adequate seating whilst waiting for our turns which was a bit annoying.

Awesome venue with a great atmosphere! I found the lanes to have a few mechanical issues during my recent visits, but the staff have always been happy to help. Keep an eye on the daily specials too!

Amazing spot to hang out with friends. At night you can come til late play bowling, laser tag and do escape rooms. Pro tip if you do an escape room there’s then discount on all your drinks and bowling and laser tag games. I believe after 9pm it becomes a licences venue so only 18+ allowed.

The staff is really friendly and the place looks amazing. We had such a great time. The shoes are good quality and are Clean! Thanks.
