Story House Early Learning Forest Hill

Our daughter has been attending this ELC for last 13 months, she is very happy and well settled here. When we drop her off, she is happy and when we go to pick her up she is playing and engaged
She eats and sleeps well here and enjoys her time
They have carers from different cultural backgrounds and that really helps, as my daughter got attached to a carer who could speak and sing to her in the language that we speak at home.
Would definitely recommend this ELC. Carers are patient and really look after the kids.

My daughters (2+4yrs) have been at the center for a month- and now barely turn back to say goodbye when I walk them into their rooms! They’re always greeted with a warm smile in each of their rooms, and feel secure and happy in them. The rooms have a really nice aesthetic, with lots of natural colours and materials, which I think makes for a calming environment. It’s been such a lovely experience, and I highly recommend this center!

My children have been attending Story House for 4 years now. We could not compliment the running of this centre highly enough. The educators are caring, professional and we know that they genuinely have the best interest of our children at heart. The centre is clean and the management team are a pleasure to deal with. The management staff and educators are responsive and there are always open lines of communication between them and the parents. We are truly grateful for this centre!

When looking for a childcare centre for my child, Storyhouse was the only centre I visited that made me feel at home. I was very nervous, as my child has additional needs and I needed to really trust her care providers.

The team at storyhouse have always been supportive, inclusive and diligent in learning everything necessary to best care for my child. Many educators going above and beyond in their commitment to learn Auslan, and support my daughter, in all of her communication needs.

The best testament to their care that I have is my child, who is always very excited to arrive in the morning and whose best days are her days at childcare.

The educators have been very accommodating for our child with a speech delay, allowing our speech therapist to visit (who even remarked it was the best centre she had been to!). The educators even asked for more information so they could help with his therapy when he is there. Very happy to see our kids learning in this reliable centre.

My son first start his childcare experience with story house when they were just newly opened, he was around 18 months and stayed there until he finished his 3yo kinder and then my daughter started when she was 6 months old until now, first we were not happy with the management but after they changed they’ve been fantastic! All the educators are always lovely from the beginning they know what our kids needs and set the goals for them and communicates with us.
Special thanks to Yvette she is wonderful and hardworking and always happy to accommodate our needs. More importantly is kids are happy with them

I don’t recommend this centre. My son spent more than one year over there and never I found him happy. Never eat well and sleep there. Three times incident happen for him as 2-3 year old boy. Lots of management changes and carer changes. Except a few carers I could not find any competency in them. Small hazardous back yard under ground floor no visibility from outside. They mix all children from different ages in that small back yard without proper supervision. Now my son is attending another centre. They are awesome and take each child personality’s into account. The competency of carers are remarkable and they have stable management and good relationships between staff inside.

This facility is highly recommended! My little one has been attending here for the past year. All the educators are amazing. The facilitator Mel is well organised, efficient and greatly capable.

Every morning my little one says “I want to see Tara” (her educator) and we can always get her excited to get ready by saying ‘Do you want to see Tara? ’.

My little one comes home learning new things everyday. Other than developing important skills and cognitive functions, she’s taught how to share, how to be kind, mannerisms and a lot more.

Story House has provided a very safe place for the little one to explore herself and the world around her.

I’m actually extremely sad to have to move her away but am extremely thankful that she has been in great hands this past year!

My son loved His year at story house!
He initially started on 3 days per week, and asked to be increased to 4 and then 5 days!
He made good mates, and learned a lot over the course of the year. Teachers always found creative ways to keep children engaged and make learning fun.
Mel (manager) did a wonderful job of running the centre, and ensured a really healthy culture. As parents we were always kept on the loop regarding things we needed to know.
Highly recommended!
