Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall - Melbourne Airport reviews
32For a brewery that has a solid product their operation and staff are absolutely useless. A packed premises but one person serving leading to 15 to 30 minutes wait each time you order.go to order food at lunch time and can't due to chefs changing over from breakfast.am i missing something? Are you wheeling in new equipment? Are you designing a new menu? Seriously useless.
Lager? Sorry, no Lager. Cider? Sorry, no Cider. Had a nice sour beer though. Ordered the fried chicken 'buffalo' and 'ranch'. What i got was over cooked tasteless tenders with a drop of cream. That cook needs to look up what 'buffalo chicken' means. Wait staff were friendly though, and was the only place open after security for a beer. Food needs alot of work.
We got the chicken snacks, the pork meatballs and the pretzel. The chicken was dry but the seasoning was delicious and the sauce had tarragon in it which was Ace. The pork meatballs were in a tomato sauce which was definitely unusual but yum as. The pretzel was served with Dijon mustard and it was a stellar combo! The raspberry beer did not taste like raspberry but it looked cool.
I paid $12.5 for a ham and cheese croissant, which took 25minutes to make. We were early for our flight but by the time the croissant came out, we had to pack it to eat on the plane because our flight was in 15minutes. This place is a rip off. I will not come back.
Ordered brewers brekky for my partner and I. Ordered avocado extra for both. Was informed no avocado shortly after. Meal arrived with no kale as per description. Was offered other side after I brought this to their attention but none were right for us. My partner also didn’t get any of her favourite mushrooms, also on the menu for that meal. All the food was severely overcooked and poorly prepared, adding insult to injury, I still had to pay the full amount. Highly recommend you look elsewhere if you want a decent meal as we have had very average food here before and had hoped it was a once off. Clearly not!
Great vibe. Plenty of seating. Lovely staff.
I ordered a soy chai and although they made an error and gave me regular milk, I let the staff know straight away and they didn’t hesitate at all or give attitude. They got my soy chai to me within minutes and with a smile xx
Such sweeties! Xx
Thanks gals for the great service
It is mandatory to wear face masks when inside the airport terminals unless eating or drinking. Two out of the four staff were non compliant. This does not make me fell confident about the compliance with any other requirement e.g. Food hygiene.
I had a egg and bacon roll with a coffee. The staff were lovely and I could tell were stressed with the environment which was understandable. However the egg and bacon roll was pretty bad and I could tell it wasn’t fresh as well as the bacon was basicslly burnt black. My coffee was also forgotten but the staff were very understanding and got my coffee straight away. Loved the customer service attitude just obviously they need some help dealing with the business of the place! Wish you guys well. Thanks to the staff x
Terrible customer service. Lied about main meals allowed to be ordered and said only chips were available. Then the manager had a heated argument with staff member in the middle of the restaurant. Highly do not recommend coming here.
No beer. No signs showing this. I had to line up. Wait in line. Wait another 10 minutes inside to be told: no beer. Stomping Ground Airport Café. I’m not sure Stomping Ground would even care if their airport branch has bad ratings… no one really expects a good experience at the airport. It seems to be the only business in Australia that can’t sort out an order of service. Just look at all the bad reviews. It seems like they’ve had constant issues and they continue to try and assure customers that they are doing something about it. They aren’t. They couldn’t care less. You can’t just keep apologising but continue to fail in the same way, again and again and again. Avoid this place.
Nothing beats seeing people who ordered after you get their food, again and again and again. After 35 minutes it’s confirmed our docket was lost and finally going to be made.
If you make a mistake, own up to it - staff member who brought the food didn’t acknowledge or apologise for the excessive wait instead advised everyone has been waiting this long. LIES. The instant defensive is so off putting, a little empathy goes a long way - it’s hospo 101.
Food quality is as expected - but for the wasted time and hunger you’d be better off spending the same amount of money at the convenience counters. #soggyparma
Stopped in for a light lunch, at 12: 15pm, which turned out to be from the breakfast menu. The Smashed Avo and Poached Eggs were unappetizing in appearance and taste. I would say the avovado had been soaking in lemon juice since early hours of the morning. Served on some lovely bread with a crust like steel.the knife provided was totally unsatisfactory for the task at hand. (this is a world wide phenomenon) Nearing the end of my meal the plate was awash with a brown slop.totally not worth the money Unfortunately, we did not taste the beer, which is obviously the draw card for this venue.
