As a long-time customer, I have entrusted Jenny and her team to alter many items over the years: pants, skirts, dresses, a varsity-style sports jacket, and most recently and spectacularly my wedding dress (which I had purchased a size too large). Her expertise is obvious, and her work speaks for itself. Her prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of workmanship. She does not undervalue her craft, and so will recommend alternatives (sometimes including going to someone else) should you need to prioritize cost foremost. She is rightfully busy and very popular… if you need a special-event item completed I would make sure to get in early to avoid disappointment (as she is realistic in her time estimates). Highly, highly recommended.

They have such amazing staff, very satisfied with the alterations on my dress. Will definitely come back again.

Gave them my coat to shorten the sleeve length. Needed it for a wedding in 2 weeks and expected it around then. They had it ready the next day! Great customer service also.

Have had multiple designer garments altered at Stitch House. They always do a fantastic job, value for money and turn jobs around quickly. The fact they're expanding their workshop with more staff and a bigger shop due to demand is evidence itself of how good they are and repeat customers.

My wedding dress was way too big for me after postponing my wedding a year and had to be altered down at least 2 sizes. Jenny did such an incredible job on my dress and to top it off was also such a lovely person! I couldn’t be more happy with my experience here. So glad I got recommended to go to stitch house.

I came here with a a vintage suit I needed tailored. The trousers were far too big for me, so I had very little expectations that anything could be done without remaking the trousers. These guys knocked it out of the park and delivered outstanding results beyond what I thought possible.
I wanted the jacket tailored too, but they advised me to leave it alone to keep the vintage style of the suit. They used their expertise to decide what was best for me, instead of just turning a larger profit. You can trust these folks with your garments.

They ladies at stitch house were lovely and accommodating. I needed to get my vintage brown 100% leather jacket altered at the shoulders to shorten the length and straight away they knew what they were doing and how it needed to be done. I was already confident they would do a good job and when I came to pick it up I was so impressed with the finish, it looked like it hadn't even been touched, but is now a perfect fit for my body! Thank you so much ladies, will definitely be coming back here for any future alterations!

Got my wedding dress altered based on the good reviews here. Cost $180, which is much cheaper than other places, but wasn't a great experience.

The people there are lovely, but had my dress for over a month and every time I went in to get it it wasn't done (and by done, I mean they hadn't even started working on it). Lockdowns meant my wedding was delayed, but even when I went to pick it up at the agreed time a few days before I was meant to fly out, it wasn't done. I had taken time off work to pick it up, rearranged a whole heap of meetings, and they hadn't even bothered to call me.

They were starting to make me very stressed, and agreed to have it ready for pick up the next day, but then rushed the job so it wasn't even good quality (you can really tell they rushed). I'm now going to struggle selling the dress.

When you have someone's wedding dress for over a month, don't work on it the day following when it's meant to be picked up, then say you don't want to rush it.

I'm pretty annoyed I had to even pay $180 for what was done. And yes I'm pregnant and leaving it a little longer was helpful, but I didn't try the dress on during the last week they had it, which should have left plenty of time to do a decent quality job. Instead it was done in overtime.

Jenny is the owner and works the floor with her staff. She knows what she is doing. She’s switched on and sharp. Think of her as the seamstress in John Wick. A master of her craft, seen everything and done everything. She takes the time to also guide and teach her staff so that they can learn the right way to do things. This shows how much dedication and investment she puts into her clients, business and staff. You know you’ve come to the right place when the owner greets you and basically reads your mind as to what you want done. A few days later, you pick up your clothes and perfect alterations completed as per your request and then some. Whatever you want to get tailored from uniforms to bridal dresses and suits, go to STITCH HOUSE ALTERATIONS and speak to Jenny. You won’t be disappointed. If there was a Hotel Continental for service, she’d be running the Fashion and Tactical clothing department.

Had a pair of COS wide legged, tailored pants taken in around the waist and bottom area - they did a great job and very friendly service! Would definitely recommend for good value alterations!
