My partner and So dined here this afternoon for breakfast after one of the nearby shops were too busy to serve us.

I ordered the Pulled Pork Benne and an Iced Chocolate for lunch, trying for method different to the chips and burgers I usually try when visiting a new place.

The Iced Chocolate was fairly standard, though it had a lot more whipped cream than ice cream, making it just a milk chocolate really. Like most tourist restaurants too it was served in a mason jar, which I dislike on principal but more so as this one had no real way to grasp it properly an as it condensated became extra slippery.

The Pulled Pork Benne: underwhelming to say the least. For a $22 item, the plate was half filled and what it was filled with was.strange. The pork crackling while tough to break, as soon as you tasted it felt almost moist and stale; the potato rosti was so dense and full of rosemary I could not finish it; the poached eggs were both wet and hard boiled for the most part making a rather unpleasant taste; the whole thing was topped off by the pulled pork, which was shipped into some cube like shape with the egg plopped atop, and while it did have good texture and taste, it just got wet because of the aforementioned egg.

The spinach, a side traditionally, in combination with the chipotle sauce was the star of this meal and probably the thing that I enjoyed most.

Suffice to say I will not be returning, not would I recommend it to others.

Amazing coffee and extremely friendly staff. A wonderful little find in the hills! Stumbled across it today for lunch, I had the Fresh Start which was amazing. I will definitely be back!

Exceptional service with friendly and well presented staff, delicious food and magnificent time efficiency on beverage and meal delivery. I will defiantly return and recommend to family and friends.

Nice place for breakfast. If you're sitting outside expect a fair bit of noise from the road with quite some traffic. Coffee was nice though a little burnt, milk is well done. And food was good but the dish I had was an odd mix of cold and hot components.

Amazing food, the Atlantic Salmon was to die for! Extremely friendly staff, with great service. Big thumbs up, I’ll definitely be back guys, thanks again for a great experience.

This my absolute favourite place to go for breakfast and lunch! The meals and always amazing and the staff are always so friendly! The kitchen staff are fantastic at what they do! If you are in emerald this is the place to go!

Sorry to say but this used to be my favourite place to have breakfast would go there almost every week for my fav pulled pork benne. I'm not sure what's happened but the food has gone downhill badly - just paid almost $30 for the worst breakfast ever, pulled pork was disgusting tasted & looked liked dog food Sorry guys but I'll never come back now very disappointed

Fantastic staff and food, always happy to go over and above and were our ray of light during lockdown. Brilliant spot to take my elderly Dad and the crew there take such good care of him that I wouldn't go anywhere else in Emerald. So grateful for their special touch in always remembering how he likes his coffee and for making us both feel safe and welcome.

Never a bad coffee. Ladies at the counter always have a smile. Great spot to stop at while on a bike ride. I've been coming here for years.

This place was fantastic! We sat in the back corner, looked newish great decor and the service was really great. Then the food came, and that was another level! I got the polenta (like a hash brown crispy on the outside, soft and creamy in the middle) with brocolli purée, haloumi, roast capsicum and poached eggs. It was very yum, capsicum gave a little sweetness, haloumi saltiness, eggs creaminess. Partner had parma which he loved and a Hargreaves Hill beer which he adored (and local). Now he wants some for home!

Amazing food, great coffee and fantastic service! To have all 3 qualities is hard to find so keep up the great work guys. I will be back for sure!:)

Excellent staff who we were accommodating and kind. Their scones were beautiful, so rich and soft.

Nice place. Good staff. Great coffee. Well presented food, decent ingredients, sometimes inconsistent cooking. Cheerfully rectified though.
