Stella's Kitchen

As a local, we were so excited to have such a unique venue close to home. The restaurant is beautiful and so is the view. All the produce is exceptional but unfortunately, the execution doesn't seem to do the food justice and our meals have felt carelessly prepared. The staff and friendly but seem inexperienced, our breakfasts have 3 times now been overcooked with dried out bacon and overcooked eggs. While one of us ordered gf bread, we were both given the gf bread. The staff were very open to and appreciated the feedback to improve which was great. Also, we've had long waits (30-60 min) all 3 times we came. Really hoping it's just teething issues and the food improves.

The Pros: Very nice decor, spacious dining area, our food taste great, great scenic views over the orchard. The scones were delicious with fabulous house-made jam.

The Cons: Although the food was tasty, the waiting time was just too long. We waited for our food for almost 30 mins, a bit unacceptable for modern restaurants. The kitchen was not in great order I suppose. The waiting staff were very nice and polite, but it was obvious that they were quite nervous and inexperienced. I hope they are properly trained and looked after.

Overall: 4/5 - I really hope this place will thrive and become successful. Not many restaurants around this area so it's good to have such a decent cafe opened. Management team needs to improve and properly train their staff members. Kitchen needs to pick up the speed!:)

Came for breakfast on Sunday and I was very impressed. The Almond Milk Latte was the best I've had.
Breakfast was delicious and huge. I had the Farmer's Breakfast.

Very nice modern cafe. Clean and spacious seating, tasty food and polite staff. The farmer’s breakfast was fresh and yummy. Enjoyed their scones as well with homemade jam. A decent place to have family brunch before going to Lysterfield Park. The scenery is breathtaking. Didn’t have wait too long for our food, probably cuz it’s not very busy.

I have been to Stella's kitchen 3 times this week great food and service modern clean airy spacious and will look a million dollars when freshly sprayed grass turns to lush lawns

Nice place, very modern and very clean which is always nice to see. Staff were very friendly and very attentive but not smothering, another plus. Food was nice, nothing out of the ordinary but very fresh and nicely served but sadly on the day we were there, there were half a dozen dishes on the menu that were unavailable including the only vegetarian option. No idea why they were not available but they needed to come up with an alternative. I ordered a vegetarian pannini which consisted of a slice of eggplant, a few bits of zucchini, sun dried tomato and a mushroom, expensive at $16.00. Not enough vegetarian/vegan options. Was also quite surprised at the cost, it seemed a bit excessive for what we had. One other minus, no alcohol free beer or wine available, bearing in mind all diners arrive by car these should be available.

We were privileged to enjoy the Hospitality of this new establishment on Sunday for breakfast with two familys full of young kids.the coffee was exceptional one of the best I have had in Melbourne, food was delicious portion sizes were very generous and the price was very reasonable.we will certainly return to take in the beautiful views and wonderful hospitality soon!

We've been three times now, twice in the opening week and after an average experience waited a couple of months to let them settle in. The staff are friendly but seem a little nervous and inexperienced. The menu is simple, which if done well would be fine, but our most recent visit was the worst - dry and overcooked. The coffee is underwhelming too and the wait is long, even when quiet.

We were really excited to have what appeared to be a premium dining place nearby, in such a lovely setting, but we won't be back now.

I've been here a few times and always have been impressed with the food, coffee and service. So when I aware that they were creating Valentine boxes it was a easy choice. The quality of the box was of the highest with a variety of gourmet cured meats and cheeses with amazing sweets it was a lovely surprise for my wife we had a sophisticated gourmet picnic. The box was enough for 4 and it was only $65.00. Thanks for such a amazing treat. I have eaten here three times and so impressed with the quality of food and service obviously it is operated by experienced restaurant owners as the consistency of quality food and service is apparent. Every time I have been here the manager always ask me about the food and service I highly recommend this venue.

Went for lunch, it was a little busy but not too bad. We ordered a smashed avo and hamburger, nothing overly complicated to prepare. After 35 minutes of waiting our waiter came up and said he’d go and find out what was happening with our food, but he never go back to us. After 45 minutes of waiting and still no food, we gave up waiting and left. Simply not good enough for a modern day restaurant. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Didn’t wait too long for our food and drinks.and they are just weeks opened. Staff probably need more training and they should seasoned out. Had scones and smashed avo. Tasted great!

Fantastic coffee, very strange service model, heaps of staff but no food between breakfast and lunch phases. Won't offer takeaway food to inside guests. People were still getting their breakfast funally at 1138 even though orders finished at 1030.
