Station Street IGA reviews
42Shopping with this family owned store for years they always have the best and most fresh products and produce on hand, convenience at its best.
Have supported this store for years (mainly for convenience) but can no longer. In general, the customer service is poor at the checkouts.workers having conversations with each other while you are being served, which makes you feel invisible. As this happened to me again this evening, one of the women working at the checkouts swore on a couple of occasions. I'll drive further afield to do my local shopping.then open an outstanding supermarket on Station Street!
Very expensive, pretty average deli (don't buy the olives or bacon), but some really great Mediterranean stuff in the aisles.
It's convenient if you have to get something. There is a reasonable range of products but it is expensive.
Has an awesome snack counter similar to sugar station but much cheaper, very friendly and has lots of variety in their products
Friendly local licenced supermarket with a good deli and range of meat and veg. Some speciality organic and Italian brands.
Great pity that people have ravaged the store. Like all those supermarkets in the area
Edit:
To the Store Owner
It wasn't against the store, per say, just making a generalised observation.
Your staff are, and always have been, polite and courteous.
More the inconsideration of the community.
Disgraceful profiteering. Top photo is IGA Station St around mid day, bottom photo is Woollies Abbotsford about an hour and a half later.
Absolute disgrace. We have a lot of elderly in our local community who will be the ones who suffer as a result of their greed.
Imagine ripping off your local community during a pandemic?
I will not shop here again.
Small independent supermarket. Good selection of produce. A viable and good choice alternative to the two generic major supermarkets. Some interesting items that you done see in the majors.
The veggies seem to be fresh till u bring it home, the meat they put the good one on top and the out of colour on the bottom, chicken, cooked chicken over priced so small no meat, just needs to be bigger or move else where not enough stock.
Not a big selection and overpriced. I suggest to drive a bit further to Northlands shipping center and do your shopping at Coles or Aldi. Lat time I did a comparison for items bought at Coles with the same at IGA, I was saving 15.50 by buying at Coles. Your call.
Yummy cake shop and staff in iga r Lovely and the staff in the ultra sounds clinic are fabulous
I always visit the station st iga when in Fairfield. Quite a bit of interesting stock. Always some specials. Hot food like chickens and roasted vegetables available in the deli section if you are hungry. A nice occasional change from Woolies and Coles.
Fast and friendly service! The best supermarket to pop in to when you want something quickly. Good local vibes. Check them out and support local!
Has a good range of food products. Modern and bright smallish supermarket in a local shopping strip. Has been there for a long time. Parking out front in the street if you are lucky. I live close by and always walk which limits how much I can buy and carry.
Great local supermarket, small but a good range. Deli section is very good; in particular the tasty and cheap ricotta. No issues with service and prices are reasonable.
Great products and good store overall, but the counter staff are seriously bringing the place down! They always seem miserable. Such a shame as everything else is good. There's one lady who I believe works in the dairy section who is always lovely and friendly! The others need to take a leaf out of her book.
Pretty good selection of gluten free food and a perfectly decent local supermarket. The fresh fruit and veg range may not be as extensive as Biviano's but the quality is generally pretty good the herbs are definitely better (more fresh).
3 & 1/2 's however this wasn't possible so I rounded it off to the next highest No. …
This little "Continental Supermarket" has turned out to be a bit of a Treat For Station St. & Area…Exactly what was needed… The staff could be a bit friendlier and also Smile a bit more like perhaps for the fact that, they enjoyed the fact that they had a paying job on this day and age… Bar those to little facts makes it not a bad place to do your local grocery shopping… Enjoy
