State Trustees

I have found State Trustees to be very poor communicators. Over the past 18 months I have had three letters and three emails.
With regard to fees, they are equally opaque, There has been no itemised estimate, just a referral back to the website, that gives you a idea of fees, but no concrete figure. And as I don't know the value of the estate, I can't know the fees, can I?
It has also taken over 18 months for what I would have thought was a pretty simple estate, One bit of land, and bank accounts. Total value is under $400,000. How hard can it be?
I understand covid has messed with everything, But it was over 12 months before covid hit, so.

This organisation deserves no stars: it is so poorly run and is an absolute insult to the disabled and to those whom they claim to serve and whom have passed away: no one at my siblings funeral.

Do not use this company! Whatever you do, its the worst customer service I have EVER received from an organisation, go anywhere else BUT here!

The lack of contact regarding my mother's affairs/circumstances and then the misdirected contact to the wrong parties has me baffled.
We were assured that we would be kept abreast of any updates and it has been far from that. Both my brother and I have sent emails that went unanswered. Then the follow up emails to those unanswered emails would also go unanswered.
The person managing my mother's matters seemed to completely disregard the families input, advice and recommendations to the point of blatant ignorance. Dealing with them has actually ADDED stress to our load, rather than make it easier. We feel completely left in the dark and treated like we don't matter. I think rather than make the hard decisions, they have taken the path of least resistance with my mother, rather than doing what is actually in her best interests. Which is exactly what we have wanted for her all along.

They say its free but they charge you later on and take 5% of the will. My grandfather would have asked them if there was any fees as he didnt like being taken advantage of and always made sure that he wasnt.

If I could give this company minus stars I would. My mum is with them and when shes asks for money to be taken out and put in her account they ask why? It isn't their money and it's none of their business. We just got off a call with them asking for 5 thousand to be transferred and they continued to say that it was a lot and they were having suspicions that I wanted the money for myself. I would never recommend anyone to go here. So frustrating.

My Sister was in DHS house for over 10 years due to her disability. I gave financial control to State Trustees to look after her financial affairs. State Trustees were great. My Sister went on overseas holidays. Always went shopping and never went without anything. They handled all Tax matters and invested her money well. It saved me a lot of time and effort. It was comforting knowing that she was well looked after.

I had my will done recently with State Trustees in Footscray. The young woman couldn't have been more or knowledgeable. Felt very comfortable and at ease discussing my details with her. Would highly recommend them.

They hide behind closed doors they send you a form of documentation that outlines what money has been spent however it isn’t a actual bank statement and the state trustees are misleading information about where the funds actually going. The State Trustees as a corporate organisation are in fact using Commonwealth Bank Australia for corporate banking so they should be able to print a actual statement. Each client individual has a client reference number to quote when making a call to the state trustees which in fact the reference number you provide to the state trustees is in fact your account number for where your funds are held.

My mother died in a nursing home with no will, which we thought she had executed, wrong. However dealing with Tahnee at State Trustees made the process bearable. Her compassion and understanding was essential for me as I suffer anxiety and get agitated very easily.

They cost my corporation$24.3b USD then they take 2/3 of my pension so I can't succeed they used my medical report in the court case when it is confidential documents, lawyers don't help God is fighting the worst inhumane organisations I might aswell just kill myself see how much they value money over life.

I have just sat on the phone for 20mins 3 occasions today listening to the computer telling me that I am the third in the queue I only wanted a question to be answered that would take 10sec give up in the end will have to go into their office

If you want your estate to be wrapped in red tape for what can be years then this is where to come. We had a simple family issue that was not rectified but exemplified and cost the estate a substantial amount of money. These guys are not here to help you or your family. These guys are here to make $$$$$$$ and that is exactly what they will do in anyway they can from your estate. These guys are not to be trusted with your hard earned estate.

State Trustees are currently running a sickening add with 3AW that offers 50% reduction in will costs "For the silver in you hair and the gold in your heart"
More like the gold in your assets!

I was left money in a will to be 3equal shares. The executor of the will took ten of thousands of dollars out but the state trustees refuse to show me any details. They senta letter to say there was 104.000dollars there we received 74,000 dollars but they will not show us who took it out. What a joke

My fellow tenant and close friend are both with state trustee, recently they were intimidating a gentleman who also resistand helping the two due to failed re t payment s, one of the state trustee receipts has blackmailed the gentleman by telling him he had drugs planted in his room the ongoing tenant Is living in fear of the two due to lack of $ or support over many years, it has now ended up forces the two into a life of crime, either way a paying tenant is suffering due too daily standovers, he is and has forced to leave the property due too fear for his safety.
