Sri Ananda Bhavan

Ananda Bhavan is an amazing place for pure vegetarian food. Today, my family and I enjoyed the most authentic South Indian Thali along with Panneer 65, Kothu Parotta, Briyani and Butter Milk. The food was very delicious and was served on time. The prices were reasonable and the food was served in generous portions. The staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The seating arrangements were well organized and the restaurant was very neat and tidy. I highly recommend everyone to try their food. My family and I would love to go back there again. Thank you so much Ananda Bhavan team for the delicious food and best hospitality.

This is my absolute favourite vegetarian restaurant in Melbourne.
I have been visiting Sri Anandabhavan for 2 years now and they have never disappointed me with the food or the service.
They are always very warm and welcoming.
The staff wears a genuine smile all the time.
The menu has a wide selection of delicious south Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes.
Their special Kalyana sappadu, Masala dosa and Madras filter coffee are some must tries for anyone who wants to try authentic south Indian cuisine.
Extra points for having jain, vegan and gluten free options. Everything I have tasted so far is just wow!
The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and wonderful service they deliver.
The restaurant is always neat and clean.
Tables are well arranged to fit in a couple, family or even a big group of customers.
The front of house staffs are polite, helpful and very pleasant which make the dining experience even more delish. They are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.
I am happy that they are introducing more south indian food items as per customer’s suggestions to their menu. And you cannot miss the mouth watering sweets which are on display. Anyone who comes here should try the variety of sweet snacks. I always pack few to go.
Can’t wait to go again. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone without a hesitation.

I visited Sri Ananda Bhavan with my friend and the filter coffee and dosa are the best of all other Indian restaurants I had dined at in Melbourne. Thanks to Sri Ananda Bhavan the one place I can rely on when I look to enjoy South Indian, vegetarian food.

I never give the reviews but, because of service I cant stop me. Poor Service. Ordered paneer 65 and didnt like it, presentation and taste was so poor. It was not at all taste like chinese dish. Presented as paneer fritters. Requested to take the dish back, but they gave me container for take away said they cant take back the dish as only 2 pieces was tasted out of whole dish. Sambhar they served was watery curry no tatse nothing and dosa was giving the full taste of old vegetable oil. Only one dish Dahi vada which is good. Need to improve their food quality.

We visited Anand Bhawan today and this is what we were served on plate today. I believe no one would go to a restaurant to get served with this onion Rava Masala Dosa.

Pure Vegetarian place. Food has authentic South Indian taste. Very good quality and huge quantity. Neat ambience. They always have lots of Jain options to accommodate. I strongly recommend this place and am sure the person trying this place will visit again and again.
