Squires Loft Cheltenham

We went for our anniversary dinner and it was very special. Food was great though slightly on the pricier end Drinks were good, cocktails well made.

All the wait staff that work there are outstanding! We had about 6 different waitresses serve us while we were there and each one was so friendly and just happy to be there. It was so nice to see.

Went here for my birthday, we where warmly welcomed by the man at front of house who took us to our table and explained about the QR sign and 90 mins dinning. Both our meals where cooked perfectly and portions where just enough. To my surprise the man came over with a small cake compliments from the restaurant for my birthday and told me he had moved a few tables around to allow us more time to enjoy the night. The service staff where great they checked on us tonight make sure we were ok. Its great to see that even in a busy restaurant there is still attention to detail and everyone is well looked after. Highly recommend we will be back.

Having been at another Squires Loft I was expecting a good steak meal I ordered the Tbone and my partner the eye fillet. Mine was a little disappointing as, while it was cooked exactly as I ordered i.e medium rare, it was a lttle tough in parts while on the othef hand my partners was beautiful.

The service was excellent and very friendly. Will I go back, posibly but not for a Tbone.

Consistently excellent steak! The beef sausages and spicy sauce are a favourite of ours also. Nicely busy this evening and the service has been brilliant

Had a fabulous dining experience with a friend at Squires Loft last week. Amazing attentive but not intrusive service. Highly recommend the baked mushroom with feta, a recommendation by the staff. As usual the steaks were sensational and the mushroom sauce is always a must. Can’t wait to come back. Covid safe measures in place too, with hand sanitiser on arrival and very well spaced out tables.

The food and grilling are fantastic - as always. The decor was good, staff were friendly and service was quick.

However, the bar does go up a bit for best in class places like Squires Loft)

- same counter for checking in and settling payments means there's a (completely avoidable) line at the start and end of each sitting

- offering guests the ability to order and and pay using a QR code from the table is becoming standard everywhere but yet to be used here

- the green pepper sauce has been a favourite and a delight - but this time it was quite bland

Would not go again. Ordered scotch, cooked medium, with mushroom sauce, was cooked unevenly and tasted weird, nearly could not finish, was overly salty too. Prawns were served cold, not great taste either. The salad and chips were good. Mushroom and fetta was very disappointing. The person who we made reservation with (went in person to reserve) did not remember the reservation and they could not find any records, eventually let us in, I wish they did not:)

Wow what an amazing venue and atmosphere. Best steak I have ever had. The decor was fantastic and staff were very friendly. Very good value for money. Plenty of beer selections in tap. Thanks to Mick and staff for looking after us. AAA+ would definitely recommend and come back!

I was never one for fine dining a few years ago, but Squires Loft changed all of that for me when I moved out to Cheltenham. Unbelievably, while my first experience was fantastic, they've gone to a new level again a year later after my first meal there since lockdown. My partner and I enjoyed the Rib eye and the Lamb cutlets and my god the food was INCREDIBLE, beyond any other restaurant I've ever been to. I was so impressed I requested to speak to the manager and I can confirm that the lovely Monique runs and EXTREMELY tight ship over there. Service was prompt and we always felt there was someone around when needed. Our waitress Chloe always attended to us with a smile on her face and genuinely looked happy to interact with us, she added plenty to what was already a fantastic dining experience. We just had to say "wow" as we walked out and I'd go the extra step and say it wasn't just good food, but a good experience. We entered the restaurant wanting to celebrate how far my partner and I have come with both personal and business endeavours after some tough times during lockdown and we left feeling on top of the world. They played a massive part in that and I thank them whole-heartedly. Fantastic establishment, recommend you ALL dine there ASAP, you'll never look back

Good service, poor product. Been to almost all Squires Loft and always satisfied - first time at Cheltnam. Black Angus Porterhouse was cooked medium rare and yet had the texture of leather boot.

Good quality and tasty food. Prompt service provided by the staff members and they came to check if everything was alright. Will return

Favourite place to dine out. The service is always just as phenomenal as the food. Have never had a bad experience and will always come back. I love it.

Have been here a few times now.
When they first opened it was really good, and with time we expected the quality of the food to get worse (as we typically find with new restaurants), but they have been consistently good.
I feel like this is the best Squire's Loft

First and last time will be dining at squires loft Cheltenham.
My eye fillet came out chewy I asked for it to be redone I waited I waited then the Manager told me how I should have my steak marinated and will take over 10 minutes to Cook a mediam rare, I had enough so got up and told the manager we are leaving! My second half wanted to pay for her half but the manager charged for full meal on Her card. I was flabagasted and my jaw dropped he goes to me leave the premises in such a rude behaviour.

Loved my meal. Good portions. Just didn't need to pay $15 for 3 of the same sauces. Entrè was quite pricey too. Wine is pretty $$. But apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were very attentive. Make sure you book!

Well. Thank GOD I didn’t go by the negative reviews posted by some of the visitors over the last twelve months here at the Cheltenham SL. We’ve been visiting Squires Loft at various locations for over ten years and expect quite a high standard when we sit down to enjoy a piece of meat. Last night we visited the Cheltenham site and boy were we pleased.

We had a lovely waitress - who offered us extra bread without asking, the place was bustling with activity and when we received our meals, yeah baby - one of the best eye fillets I’ve ever had at a squires loft. I had the reef and beef - prawns were absolute perfection - chips on point.

One point I must make which I did find strange - usually at a Squires’s staff will come and query how our meat is? I guess our faces said it all - my meat was like butter.

I totally understand - you pay a lot of money for a piece of meat and chips at squires so you SHOULD 100% expect perfection - I implore Any of the negative reviewers to try again because we found our experience to be exactly what we expect from Squires Loft.

Squires if I were you I’d be inviting these reviewers back and probing them wrong.
